Need a suggestion.
PAF have FT-5 (30), FT6(19) and FT7 (~50)...Total around 99
These are all aging AC's used for training and will be grounded within 2 to3 years coz they would not be worthy in the PAF future inductions
Why not PAF convert then into Target Drones as China did...
Ba-5 (Jian-5) Target Drone
The Ba-5 target drone was based on the J-5, a Chinese copy of the Soviet MiG-17 (NATO codename: Fresco) subsonic fighter. The target drone has the original pilot seat in the cockpit removed to provide additional space for the automated flight control system. Several hundred retired J-5s are believed to have been converted air-to-air and surface-to-air missile testing.
Additionally, the PLA Air Force is believed to be exploring the possibility of using the unmanned Ba-5 drone for ground attack role. The aircraft simply serves as a cruise missile by flying to the target zone and then plunge into a large area target such as airport or depot.

Jian-7 Target Drone
The PLA Air Force (PLAAF) has converted some of its retired Jian-7 fighters into unmanned target drone to simulate enemy aircraft in air-to-air and surface-to-air weapon testing. The pilot seat on these aircraft has been removed and replaced by radio control equipment. The Jian-7 target drone can fly at supersonic speed and simulate typical manoeuvres of modern combat aircraft.
