PAF raises two squadrons equipped with JF-17 Thunder jets

.
PAF standard is 12 to 18 depending on availability of the type.
eg; F-104A/B squadron was 12 a/c.

.
actually the 1st order of 42 a/c has been completed - add the 8 SLP a/c and we get a total of 50.

2 sqds of 16 a/c have been inducted.
the 3rd sqdn induction is imminent (by mid-year 2012)
the 2nd tranche of 50 a/c will start production in the 2nd half of 2012.

---------- Post added at 11:14 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:12 AM ----------

by end 2013 it is expected that 100 a/c will be inducted (this is the plan - delays do take place eg; the unfortunate crash of a JFT under test which was earmarked for the 3rd JFT squadron)

Is there a link or something that shows the inventory of JF-17s in PAF ?? or the status of scheduled production

this is all over the net yaaar

in the dubai airshow it was reported that 38 are inducted which means rest of 4 were in testing phase.

.
We shold be having 3 Squadrons readied by now....2 squadrons was a way old news.....:smokin:

.
we rely on information from 'reliable' media sources which are only 85% correct (no one has 100% information). the second info source is 'serving & retired officers' who are willing to share info without compromising anything.

. . .
It would be only fitting if we setup 2 squadrons in Shamshi airbase

yes 2 squadrons were so 2010 news we are now in 2012 , plus we also have 50 coming from China

2012 will be wonderful year for new arrivals

.

Besides, we were also getting our 8 F16A/B which were in MLU in Turkey and USA [4 in each country for MLU]....
