PAF Pioneered the CFT

[/B]

This is not a PAF f-16, also this is a F-16 CJ and PAF doesnot operate F-16 CJ's

F-16 CJ's are only operated by USAF ,

You totally misunderstood my post. If you looked back at Truthseeker's post, he was confused with what the fuel tanks should be called. The only reason I put this link up was to highlight the names of the fuel tanks.

.
If they are not CFT's then what are they, and can anyone tell me what is CFT and is there is any visible sign if they are attached to the aircraft?

These are CFT's

And when you plumb them on F-16 it looks like this

I had no clue what those were, thanks.

Seen it on UAE's F-16s too.

They look cool, do Pakistan's F-16 have these? Put them on the JF-17s.

F-16 CJ's are only operated by USAF ,

Basically F-16 CJ's are bit different from normal Block C's ,these aircrafts are modified to perform the Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses (SEAD) mission, replacing the F-4G ‘Wild Weasel’ aircraft, these were unofficially designated F-16CJ/DJ

F-16CJ/DJ are equipped with a Lockheed Martin AN/AAS-35V Pave Penny laser spot tracker and the Texas Instruments AN/ASQ-213 HARM Targeting System (HTS), with the HTS pod being mounted on the port intake hardpoint

A little incorrect..singapore also operates F-16CJ's and DJ's...along with a few other forces..
The designation itself is a misnomer..since all Block 50/52's are capable of firing the HARM and using the HTS..
And there are F-16 CQ's in service with the USAF which also employ the HTS.. and from now..these and the block 40 CCIP will be known as F-16CM's.
The HTS allows the HARM to be used to its maximum effectiveness..otherwise all F-16 40's and onwards are HARM capable.

.
btw... can someone tell me if PAF has HARM on our f-16 and jf-17 ???

@Sanabil :

Thats am Israeli F-16 Soufa that you have posted as your 1st pic.
The 2nd one is not PAF, don't know which AF.

So both not PAF.
PS: Ironically the 2nd F-16 you have posted is for the IAF!!

So you have chosen the 2 Air Forces that you don't like and called their jet your own!

PAF has been improvising many things on different planes..But doesn't make it public due to the "Strings attached" to the end user agreement which in the case of F-16s doesn't allow Pakistan to modify the planes in any way...
During the years of Embargo,PAF airmen and engineers had been self producing many F-16 parts to keep the plane flying...But the details cannot be made public as these actions although necessary but were in breach of the End user agreement...Suffice saying that PAf has the capability to modify all Planes it has got including F-16s but international laws and restraining Agreements with the Original manufacturers bars them from doing so...
There was a report published in a PAF magazine many years ago,in which an airman was court marshelled because he had been making a certain part for F-16 in his workshop at the base and successfully been fitting it in the F-16s for months without problem...The same part was imported for thousands of dollars from General Dynamics, and the Aiman made part was more durable than what the manufacturers sent to PAF..Of course it may have been something small, but still a big acheivement for an airman working in his workshop at the airbase.
Fitting a CFT was never a biggy for PAF and still isn't..
