In reality is PAF lacks range and newer ASEA radars on its fleets.
There I'll be many arguing about hving a new BLK 3 of of JFT with aeasa radar but still JFT even if JFT BLK 3 be inducted in the force it still be not enogh for the enemys massive strength?
PAF has low range when it compares with IAF that's the section pakistan lacks and the range of its fighters isn't much which was good back in early 90s but for right now IAF tops it!
PAF needs a crucial punch since a long time and with PROJECT AZM it wanted to achieve it but in a real war situation IAF can stay in the air for combat more then PAF which can be deadly iat in some very serious ground battles for its supporting roles.
even with refeulers in PAF it still has less range and ability to stay in the air against IAF.
PAF should go for anything which can counter its range problems and with some better Radars and for that PAF can go from vireity of platforms from J16 the upgraded Chinese copy of SU30s from China to MIG35s and and SU35s from russia in some small numbers like 32 for combating the real and clear threat after indian purchase of its RAFAELs.
32 good range fighter jets with good versions of AESA RADARS will give PAF a longtime support and power untill its AZM programe gets in the air.
Indian hot caps are near LAC cause they think PLAAF is the real threat to them because of PLAAFs range, and RADARS which China has more in numbers and has inducted a vast majority of its self made and upgraded versions of Russian FLANKERS and that's mian reason why india went to RAFAELs cause they think China has mastered the FLANKERS and is capable of jamming and destroying Indian FLANKER force which needs huge upgrades as, Chinese have the intel that IAF have not more then 80 upgraded and modified fighter jets in its FLEET which can put up some fight against massive Chinese flanker force and that's the very reason why Indian defence minster ran to russia for getting upgraded and modified versions of MIG29s and SU30s, while getting RAFAELS on other hand!
Why a naval, MIG29k been used near LAC is a very visible sign that IAF doesn't trust much on its aging fleet of mirages and SU30s which horribly lacks overhauling and upgrades.

I am pretty sure OP is incorrect CAPs are regularly get companionship its SOP.. regarding LAC and chinese PLAAF doesn’t do regular CAPs only chinese choppers do some patrolling IAF do give them company with Mig-29s though sometimes UPG and smtimes K
One who occupies it, owns it.
I am not into loussy business of claiming lands by just redrawing on paper.
If india wants skardu, then it should launch military offensive and grab it, drawing maps is a option for ... well you know it.

Range matters only when there is full blown war. We lack heavy fighter jet that stays in air longer but right now,we aren't going to fight a war with India,limited war is a possibility. In limited war, capability of pilot and range of bvr missiles are more important. In two front,India has to sacrifice half of its resources towards lac. India is in trouble this time. They can't use all 270 su-30 against us.they will use only 100. There are some technical problems like paf awacs can't refuel in air while iaf can.this is a big disadvantage but I don't think that it's a crucial factor. We can easily beat them. They fly big jets,big rcs.
