What's new

PAF All Combat Squadrons and their air crafts

thank you for the compilation, quite easy to understand

mashaAllah JF17 squadrons growing :pakistan::china:

The F-16s will return to their units during crises. CCS pilots included.
The actual squadron that will remain is the Mirage-ROSE and F-7.
I got it, Sir thanks for the information, I have questions please do answer

"This means each time new session of CCS starts new f-16 commers come with thier own machines and previous goes to thier respective squadrons ?"
AND
"what is the actual fighter strength of CCS at any time ? I believe its 24 i.e. 6 of each F-16s, Thunders, ROSEs and PGs ?"

What is a K8P doing in the image? Is that too a front line PAF combat aircraft just because it can carry air to air missiles?
It might not be a front liner, but still a fighter though second or third liner OR good for Close Air Support in open vast extended areas...

Both the Arrows and Griffins rotate aircraft through CCS as CCS flying is a little more intense than regular ops at Sargodha(just like your car, there are gentle highway drives that put less tax as compared to driving on crappy city roads) in terms of airframe stress.

CCS operates at its fixed length of 8 F-7Ps, 6-8 Mirages and then varying numbers of JF-17s and F-16s. Depending upon the intake of the course; the strength can be as low as 20 aircraft to as high as 32.

Can i know if UAV operation falls under PAF or PA?

Both branches use UAV's.

Yeah, but it's going to be used as a ground attack aircraft mostly. It's air to air capabilities would be limited.

Can any one tell me what is total sanctiond strength of paf front line fighter squadrons and totall number of air craft. Ages ago i read on one of thread its 27 front line squadrons with 530 fighter jets at full strength?

Good Effort!!! You missed CCS Skybolts & Sherdil (Aerobatic Team). Both of them can be converted to full fledge combat squadrons in need of hour....

Sir is CCS a regular squadron? If not what is its main purpose.
Do unit of a squadron joins a squadron other than CCS too or only CCS?

14 converted and I guess 18 will soon by end of the year with officially perhaps 1 qtr of next year ??

17th, 18th, 20th and 23rd on priority basis. That will be 64 JF17 Block 2 and then 7th, 8th, 15th, 22nd, 25th and 27th that will be 96 Aircrafts with probably JF17 Block 3. Lets see what actually happens. We do need another Aircraft line maybe F-16, J10 or Russian probably.

Both are using the assets. Pakistan Air force has Burraq, Satuma Jasoos 2, Falco, CH-4, RQ-7 Shadow, Satuma Mukhbar, Ababeel, Baaz and Shahpar for Attack, surveillance and Reconnaissance.
Pakistan Navy has Uqab 2, Scan Eagle and Luna all are for surveillance and Reconnaissance.
Pakistan Army uses Burraq for attack and others for reconnaissance jointly with Pakistan Airforce.
