PAF Acquires PL15 Missile for JFT

Pl 15 does not use ramjet propulsion rather uses dual pulse rocket motor.
And i doubt if the current klj7 radar is capable of
handling pl15 I maybe wrong though
Both that radar and that missile are of Chinese origin and integrating the missile with the avionics on board JF17 shouldn't be difficult. It's just that the range of KLJ7 might not be enough to detect targets far enough away to make full use of PL15's long range capabilities. For this PAF would have to rely on AWACS to provide targeting information to JF17s carrying PL15s.

.
The AESA radar of JF-17 has range of 190 KM so whats the point of getting 300 KM range :raise::raise:

ISLAMABAD:

The government on Tuesday approved nearly Rs8 billion supplementary budget to meet additional needs of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) and civilian armed forces, seeking financial assessment of further defence needs of the country in wake of tensions with India.

The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the cabinet approved the additional budget for the PAF and management of western borders by civil-armed forces, said the Finance Ministry officials.

It has been decided to give around Rs8 billion for various purposes and nearly half of it would go to the PAF. The remaining amount is being approved for the Pakistan Rangers, civil armed forces and to pay to banks for marketing Pakistan Banao Certificates (PBC).

No, radar distance are all relevant terms ... So general range of radar is for a fighter size target ... These missiles are not just for fighter size target but also for large strategic targets such as tankers and AWACS
Did not it requires a 300 km radar to fire a long 300km range BVR ????

you sound dangerously over confident. China has disappointed the over confident many times before.
No sir it's that the news is baseless.
And it has inherent contradiction (wrong information) in it.
