It has been used from F-22 to almost every modern fighter jet as well as passenger aircraft. Just because something is smaller, it doesn't automatically equate to quality. It's a lame way of thinking.

Military industrial complex is not just about POF(OFB)...it encompasses lots of other industries.

Our Army uses Made in India optics, drones, etc. Our Navy has all ships made in India while Pakistan doesn’t have a shipbuilding base even close to India (it’s true). We designed and developed our own aircraft while you needed a JV, Sure it has many foreign components, but what does it proof? We were working on our own engine but was unable to produce enough thrust to power fighters, now that Kaveri is being used for GHATAK UCAV project. Many things you can’t develop inhouse as it only consumes time and money, and plus Tejas MK1 is the first iteration subsequent versions will have higher indigenisation.
