Let me know when the Western and Russian masters of 1.4 billion indians will stop helping the indian fighter jet programs. hal will cease operations and india will produce NOTHING...........................

Despite the huge scientific, technological and engineering assistance from the west and Russia for the tejas program, the ONLY fighter jet program of 1.4 billion indians has been the biggest failure of aviation history....................................................so much so that india STILL has to mass purchase French and Russian fighter jets............................................to make matters worst, the ONLY REAL contribution india made to the tejas program was to write "tejas" on the fighter jet and take pictures of an indian standing next to it...................

Should I same say about Pakistan after comparing with France and Pakistan? Because you ended with doing paint job (Jf 17) and purchasing aircrafts and submarine from France which is only 6.71 corers people compare to Pakistan (21.66)

No fighter jets are 100% indigenous. Even F-35 requires REM from China, subsystems from Israel. Do you call F-35 Israeli? Like I said before, I will say again. Tejas is an Indian aircraft designed and developed in India

The biggest paint job has in fact been done by indians simply writing tejas on the fighter jet, even most of the paint job has to be done by Western and Russian engineers as indians are THAT incapable................ .........................So incapable and pathetic that even after over 30 years the tejas has been the biggest failure in aviation history and 1.4 billion indians have to spend billions upon billions buying fighter jets from 67 million French men and women and 144 million Russians..............................................

Indians on PDF, due to their nature, often refer to products such as JF-17 built in Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) as a mere paint job. Albeit the sheer frustration and heartburn is understandable. However, since the Indians claim that their LCA Tejas is indigenous and pride product of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) . Let's compare the two respective aircraft for their paint job and workmanship.

But a close look at the aircraft reveals some average workmanship.

Underneath the aircraft, it seems like patchwork and gun casing and surrounding has very basic if not poor finish.

I see too much of riveting In JF 17. Pakistan should work on that. These bloody rivets adds a lots of weight. HAL had a plan to reduce riveting.

The Major component of any jet is it's airframe and design. Where do these folks come from? That's the signature, you can replace the Engine with anything else through small modification. You can replace the subsystems, but when you replace the airframe and change design, it cease to become the jet it was.

That's the major and most important component. Now, not only that, but we also use our own Digital FBW system. Manufacture mission computers among others, all these and many more which has been listed out countless times in PDF. If you missed that go back and read.

One Indian commenter should keep a fact in their head that pakistan also tries to develop a 5th gen. heli through small steps

You know there's something called private sector or an individual invention but only Indian army can come up with such innovations in a joint calculated life saving effort.

The Indians don’t realize that the west wants them broken into pieces as they don’t want 2 powers to deal with in Asia. It would suite the west to have smaller Indian states that buy arms and western products like Taiwan, Japan and Korea
