You made these systems without proper wind tunnel and testing facilities. Hats off to your design teams.
You made electronic systems for these missiles without a semiconductor Fab plant.. Hats off to your engineers....
What do you make in JF17 and Al-Khalid.....Engine?? Radar?? optics?? Electronics?? Fire control computer?? Flight control computer??Actuators?? System on chips?? transmission system?? Navigation system?? Electronic warfare systems?? I bet you import tyres and valves for JF17 as there are only a handful of countries who can make aerospace-grade tyres and valves.

PAC started doing paint/Manufacturing from Super Mushshak (SAB Safari) and Chinese build FC 1- (Jf 17) from 1990s.

HAL done this job before 40-50 years, itself.

HAL has already moved from paint/Manufacturing job to design and developing aircrafts. If PAC will start today to design or develop any Trainer aircraft then it will take At Least 7-8 years or if 4th Generation aircraft then minimum at least 10-15 years.

PAK AZAM project is just and will be a paint job of J 31 or any new Chinese aircraft with called Joint venture.

PAF Sq ldr Shahaab can be clearly heard saying that PAC only manufactures front fuselage whereas middle and rear fuselage is imported from China. So much for Indigenous manufacturing......LOL...

BTW Tejas in service with IAF have better Finish and paint job than LSPs and prototype vehicles.
Some of its parts are also coated with Radar absorbing materials.

Despite the huge scientific, technological and engineering assistance from the west and Russia for the tejas program, the ONLY fighter jet program of 1.4 billion indians has been the biggest failure of aviation history....................................................so much so that india STILL has to mass purchase French and Russian fighter jets............................................to make matters worst, the ONLY REAL contribution india made to the tejas program was to write "tejas" on the fighter jet and take pictures of an indian standing next to it...................
