As uncomfortable as it sounds but if you think about it, it's a genuine question. I remember back in the days in France during my Intercultural Management lecture, our prof went almost 5 minutes discussing it. She called it Turkish toi-lets and how they are 'good' for the highways if your germs sensitive and not so good for her panty hose. What were her 'challenges' using it for fisrt time etc etc. Uncomfortable but funny as hell.

when outside they are much safe due to no body contact. Know ppl who actually got bad infections due to using public to lets with regular seat commodes
