Overseas Pakistanis, what good or bad things you find among local Pakistanis?

.
The system has loop holes for bribing culture at lower level. Its good and bad.

.
Baag, rawalakot, neelum all are pretty but neelum is breath taking.
Just to get a clue just watch few scenes from drama neelum kinaray it was shot there.
Also one major reason a new pakistani drama Yakqeen ka safar became a huge hit ( it actually became a hit from its 17-18 episode n onwards n mainly cause of location and romance) cause its later half of drama was shot on breathtaking locales of neelum. The drama totally is crap for my taste but just wanted to give a clue about locations.
Plus gb is also a must visit place.

Waisay i never had this issue with common people . As of store keepers then customer service has never been a strong point with pakistanis, unfortunately
I will check it out thanks for telling me.

I live in Kahuta and have witnesses the overspending of Toyota coaches to kotli via kahuta ..They so dangerously overtake others and often have very young drivers who get trained on roads and road is also dangerous .. They often play with lives of those who are driving safely so its very crucial to be careful from inexperienced rough drivers

My own cousin recently crashed his car overtaking on a bend! All the bends around our area are blind bends, meaning you cannot see around the other side, nobody in their right mind would overtake in such a place. He is lucky he was ok and nobody was hurt. It will cost him close to 2 lakh rupees in repairs for both cars though!

One small example is littering, it's shocking to see how it's done in Pakistan, and all it would take is change in attitudes and behaviours, there's no use blaming poverty and politicians for bad behaviour such as littering.

I used to think this but then I realised it's the same in the UK. The only difference is that we have public bins and regular clean up of the streets organised by the state. We also have household rubbish collections. You are 100% right there is no excuse for it, but I think it's more a universal problem and made worse by the lack of state efforts to keep the place clean.

In Pakistan, I enjoy crossing traffic signals.

I cross red light with equal caution what I apply crossing the green light..

Caliphate is great!!11! Screams a fella living under a Kafir Western Liberal Democracy. He will force it on other Muslims, just not on himself.

You shouldn't use kafir as a derogatory term towards western governments. Most of the countries in the West are more Islamic than Pakistan. I will give you a few examples.

The caliphate had rule of law. We have that in the UK, we lack that in Pakistan.

The caliphate had universal income. Finland is experimenting with establishing that, we don't have anything of the sort in Pakistan.

The caliphate had social welfare. The UK has one of the worlds best social welfare systems, particularly it's world class and totally free to use NHS. In Pakistan children are dying on the door steps of hospitals because their parents can afford to enter.

The caliphate had accountability of leadership. In the UK politicians are regularly held to account, people imprisoned for corruption, people resigning for improper behavior - even at the stage of it being allegations. There is no "mujhe kyu nikala" here. Do you have that in Pakistan - no.

The caliphate ensured fairness in trade. In the UK we have fixed prices, we have trading standards, we have regulated markets, we have consumer choice, we have law which makes doing business easy and safe, we have government intervention to prevent the prices of essentials being over inflated. In Pakistan we have these things on paper only.

Liberals like to paint Caliphate as ISIS for multiple reasons;

1. They are ignorant of what it actually is because they don't value Islam enough to study it at an academic level. For them it is just another form of pooja.
2. Their hedonistic lifestyles are at odds with Islamic values.
3. In an Islamic system of goverance their elitist advantage counts for nothing.
4. They don't consider themselves as equals to others and see the rest of society as beneath them. They fear that an Islamic system of governance would be one where the mullahs would be an elite - whereas this is not true. In an Islamic system of governance there isn't an elite.

The caliphate is none of these things. The positives of this system are continuing 100 years after it's abolishment in the very same nations that abolished it.

Unfortunately the fear in point 4 this is something most of us are affected by. I personally fear any Iran/Saudi like scenario and I think our country would be very prone to falling in that trap under the guise of Islamic governance. We have too much illiteracy, we have a mullah culture (something that must be finished for all our sakes) and we have have even greater degree of islamic illiteracy (which fuels mullah culture).

Back to my point though - i think it's unfair to refer to western society as Kafirs, they might not be muslims but they adopt many values that us Muslims should be at the forefront of portraying.

Littering - Ready to die for the land but can’t do simple things like disposing litter in a bin.

Excessive Horning:
Move out the way = horn!
Hello = horn!
Goodbye = horn!
Do I recognise this guy? = horn!
Speed up = horn!
Slow down = horn!
Traffic = horn!
Buffalo in the way = horn!
See’s some street food fella = horn!
Can see a bump = horn!
Insect on the floor = horn!
How dare he look at me = horn!
Did he/she just horn at me? = lets have a Horning competition.
Boredom = horn! Horn! Horn!

Ogling - it’s rude, inappropriate and creepy. We are humans, not aliens. Please stop.

Bribery - Willing to help but to speed up the process or make life easy they’ll prefer incentives. Even people in authority. Disgusting. Not sure if that’s ‘genuine’ help.

Shrines - Appears to me a huge handful of Saints have only been bestowed in Pakistan. These are literally every other mile or so.

Over-weight Police Officers and people in Authority - Pretty certain to be qualified for this job you’ve got to be physically fit, unless you’re working within Administration.

Yesterday I landed at LHE airport and noticed that the cab drivers were allowed beyond immigration point without any checking or clearance and were taking their customers out from the queue straight to immigration officer for entry stamp. 1st of all the it leaves very bad impression secondly the drivers could easily be involved in drug smuggling. It was more a laari adda than an international arrival and baggage claim area.

I haven't been in a very long time, but looking forward to blogging about it when I do. Should be an adventure.

Good
Hospitality.
Adhering to culture.

Bad
Corruption.
Lack of thought for animals and the environment.
Devolving any responsibility for their actions and saying "it's the will of Allah".

I love the way we Pakistanis transform on the PIA flights back to Pakistan :lol:
