That might be your experience. India on other hand is worlds largest English speaking nation, sooner or later all English speaking nations will have direct and deep realtions as Indians have become major part of there domestic work force too.
We are for sure not anyway near Chinese Industrial might, same west went to China and people said they are building China against Russia. This logic never ends, in this world large population means big market which in turns mean that as education improves these large markets will turn into global hot spots.
With such wide range of diversity in culture, beliefs and thoughts. A democratic system will always live ample space for everyone to believe they are right and others are wrong, so chances of some moving towards armed movements are not something different. Given the size of population the ratio of such movements is much lower as compared to other developing countries. Having said that, uniform civil code, right to education and universal health policies are right direction toward minimizing such fault lines in the society, we are working towards it and sooner or later we will over come it as we have plans for same. There are neighbours who keep similar forces as there pet snakes to use it on name of religion, they will have difficult time to contain these snakes.

Its very easy to point fingers at India, because its such a diverse and over populated country. If its growing than for sure its doing many things much better than anywhere in world, try to see the positive aspect to see the charisma of success, every one has negatives. Its only by empowering positives and focusing on positives nation grows. And thats what looks like India is focused upon, no mater who comes to power, the focus has to be aligned with nations interest.
