After the fall of Mobarak that was the most natural foreign policy step. Even Saudi Arabia & Iran maintain full diplomatic relations. Hosting the president of the most powerful country of Middle East after three decades is a good diplomatic victory for Iran especially in this time of turbulence. I do not find any other meaning for that.
