Under six don't attend the govt. schools.... I know rural schools that offer food to nearby kids that are not 5yrs (age for 1st class admission).
The problem is economical as the parents can not feed kids.

It is the proof of of avoiding non veg in plains. Go eat non veg in 40°C, you will realize. Where as in Hills he cannot survive. That's my argument.

More over hez a pahalwan. lakhs of rupees must be spent on his diet. Pure ghee, pure milk, fruits etc.. now days which kid gets pure ghee milk from cow or buffalo daily?

Govt is paying for the meal ... I think they have a major stake in deciding what must be served. If one loves chicken or eggs that much doors of madrasa and convent are always open.

Exactly the government is paying for a meal, it is not paying for a Jain meal or a muslim meal. It should be paying for a meal that best sustains human needs. A no protein, rice and water meal is not enough for children. If you want to feed that to your kids then by all means do so but don't insist that I do the same.

If the kids themselves for whatever reasons do not to eat something whether religious or allergic or " because they don't like it " it is a different matter.

But the government should provide balanced meals including protein an veg eatables. Religion is irrelevant here , a Jain child needs the same nutrients as a Sikh child or a Christian child.

Time to stop playing with other peoples kids health.

1)We certainly do carry trishuls and we will f*cking use it.

And why impose vegetarianism on non-vegetarians? Let them eat egg, nobody is taking away the right of vegetarians to eat veg foods, then why vegetarians are hell-bent on taking away the right of non-vegetarians to eat non-veg foods?

Don't shift posts.... The school food is available ages 5+ and has sufficient protein.... after admission
Malnutrition is a problem.... not just because of lack of quality food but due to chronic diarrhea which reduces the nutrient absorbing capacity of the body....... The problem you are highlighting will not be solved even if beef is served. as kids are undernourished and infected from childhood and are served deworming tablets too. @wolfschanzze please elaborate the science for our secular friend.

Every Haryanvi kid gets that ... and if you can google the amount of medals won by these guys it will be quite a substantial percentage. Unlike Punjab our kids didn't fall for drugs and government policy is such that a medal in Asian/CWG/Olympics would land you as DSP in Haryana Police.

I am sorry Govt can provide only a limited menu, the mid day meal can't be tailored to the liking of every one ... if egg is allowed what stops them to give chicken? if chicken is allowed should it be halal or jhatka? So a basic veg meal is whats required. No appeasement.
