It was mutually decided by all parties that although Pakistan will not host matches in her country but will remain a hosting partner. Pakistan will receive 15-17 million dollars of her share in profit and will be known as the hosting nation despite the fact there would be no match held in the country.

Thats how PCB agreed and the world cup current schedule was carried forward

yaar its only $16 million, doesnt deserve thread. Icon like Sachin earn 20+ million in single add contract, India will be earning billions of $s via TV rights etc. Above amount is peanuts.

I'm suprised PCB agreed on measly $16m, bad administration.

2 billion viewers (WC 2011) is a huge figure for any sporting event.
