Not a veiled threat: Burqa ban in France from April

In fact if I remember correctly, a few months back a suicide bomber in Pakistan had worn a burqa to conceal his identity.

There was also the reported incident of the "Burkha Mulla" who was caught escaping from the Lal Mosque. These incidents are kind of pointers.

If it is NOT a religious thing as pointed our by some then why cry about it as Islamophobia ?? There need to be such laws in India too banning fully covering burqa in public places.

The whole world needs to ban burqas, terrorists often hide in burqas then go kaboom.

They need to ban the Sari first.

Have you forgotten the suicide bombings in KP that were done by people hiding under burqas? Its so easy to hide under a burqa and just blow yourself up. Taliban are taking advantage of that.
Afghanistan is often hit with burqa bombers and so is Iraq.

Maybe these articles will refresh your short term memory.

And btw a suspicious person who was hiding in a Burqa has been arrested in Rawalpindi today. Geo News is reporting it.

If the Sari covers the woman right from the head to toe in a black cloth that the person opposite do not know if it is a man or a woman ; then yes.

But till then only full covering Burqa.

Please use common sense. A terrorist will use a burqa as disguise in KP because a burqa is common there. A criminal in France is much more likely to use a trenchcoat+wig+sunglasses rather than a burqa. A burqa attracts attention in the West: the last thing a criminal wants is to attract attention to themselves.

As to the French ban, it's important to determine if the ban is for cultural reasons or security.

If it's for cultural conformance, then why single out the burqa? Why not the Indian teeka (dot on the forehead) or chopsticks or hamburgers? All of these things are not 'French'.

If it's for security, then a burqa should be treated like a motorcycle helmet: it should be removed wherever a helmet is illegal, not everywhere in the street.

For aesthetic reasons if no other, I would disagree with this. Not everyone is attractive enough to walk naked, including myself.

More than aesthetics, it's about public hygiene.
Would you sit on a bus seat after some guy was sitting naked on it?

Dude do you know that Turbans are banned in Schools and so are crosses or for that matter any other sign of religion ??

The French discriminate , but they dont discriminate in discriminating.
