Demand occurs when an audience gets a preview or some sort of word of it, basically becuase there is no promotion there is no demand.

Now these illeterates are saying that there is no demand but how can there be demand if they are not aware of the product itself.

If they start showing channels then I am sure that they will get respectable viewing from different demographics.

The reason I think that Pak channels are not shown in India is becuase they would not like for their people to find out how similar our lifes are. They want to create an image of poor, hungry illiterate terrorists so the politicians can use Pak as a means of votes and popularity. Its basically feed them what they like to portray us as rather then them having a look at us themselves and deciding.

The common people of our countries have no ill towards each other, they are concerned with their own lives but the people in power would like to show otherwise.

India should allow Pak channels, only entertaniment ones so they can get to know our side too. Our cities, our culture, our thinking and then they will realise how their leaders are demonizing us.

As for this garbage that people are saying becuase of news propoganda. We listen to your news too but its not something that changes our perception of the average person.

Also most of our channels do not have news but rather only concentrate on their category. Even news chanells only discuss national issues.

Similarly our channels talk, discuss and promote indian media so indians would definately be interested in watching it. Many indian celebrities take part in our shows and its good for relations.

So, according to you, who should be responsible to promote Pakistani Channels in India? Who is responsible to create a market for the Pakistani channels in India?
Why will the local cable operator, who is already working on thin margins and stiff competition invest in expensive equipment for something there is no market at present and unknown future.

So apart from NDTV....rest all are entertainment channels........and what are the Pakistani entertainment channels being transmitted in Pakistan.........and please don't throw Wikipedia links.....name the channels.....that people watch on a daily basis.
