No I.T infrastructure in PAK ARMY

Well mr can u give me any kind of proof???Well i cant say that all of such info is v.classified and it can not be discussed in open forums....come on!!!!Now u can seen regularly what nato forces are upto and what they are working for...lost are days when u can convince some 1 with that lame argument...I know pak army is nowadays maintaining cannons of wwII...what are factors for this????
corruption,,lack of interest in getting advancement...interest of higher officers in real estates bla bla.....:(.i am not against pak army but these are facts.

.
Again, Wrong.
Example BMS
Example Autoloaders
Example Auto aiming AA gun

You are very well aware of the first two, and I am certain you know the last one too (eme).

You are confusing Information technology(i.e networking, computerization , Army-wide C4I) with electronics development.
BMS may be an example but that was limited to the armored core alone... and mostly qualified as fits and starts.
The Solid state autoloader is electronic..
solid_state_autoloader.png

Its status is akin to a change from a CD to a usb and does not mean that it transformed the IT landscape of the Army...the same goes for the auto aiming gun.

What I refer to , is the introduction of true network enabled resources in the Planning, communication and command of the Army.

For starters, baba's.
Forget the Army.. some of the most sensitive installations still have to go through the usual mess of files and stamps and so on.

As for the facebook comment, a smart person would link it with a generational change and ipso facto change in thinking.
Everything from networked Radio systems to Low altitude networked C4I defense systems that work in co-ordination with the Air Force.
As for proof..
Try searching before coming out here as judge without being the investigator for even a second.
Start here, its close to you..
http://carepvtltd.com/

then move on to IDS and many other small firms making impacts for the military.
using WW2 designs for cannons doesnt mean they are completely useless... especially if they are for the reserves.
Again, more reading.. less rhetoric will help your cause.
Nobody is your errand boy here to find you proofs, all we can do is point.

Would it be ok if I say they have installed hardware firewall and new departments are setted up under MI...like mi6-14....they have been recruiting network engineers fir the the said purpose......

They have been.. but most go from the EME. So if our dear complainant here or you havent met them is a different matter of social interaction than Networking and C4I.

That being said.. the Army or MI for that matter are nowhere as close to the ISI when it comes to tech madness.
Their isb corner building for eg..with key print doors.. glass.. etc.. starts to look like Apple's factory.

This post is a red herring or the poster is 13 year old retard. Significant progress has been made in integrated battle field information acquisition, distribution and use. PAF is far ahead of other services with locally developed combat control system linked to all it sensors and relevant assets.

Corner building? Its a huge complex, who knows, maybe it extends deep underground!

GHQ also tried making all this entry exit stuff automatic (nowhere near ISI though)...but it would be suffice to say that, phuddu ban gaye thay!

SOmething tells me that ISI takes this whole stuff much more seriously, and this seriousness somehow doesn't shift into the Army (considering ISI has a sizeable Army presence, and COAS is ex ISI). Maybe that is why COAS is a techno buff!

I know that sir that is why I have been a little hesitant to share what I know. And this is why I dont agree with our poster. Indeed they have been recruiting from EME/NUST but at some instances walk in interviews were conducted and candidates from other universities were recruited. .....but as you said army has a long way ahead of them. But atleast things have started to change

All I can say is GHQ went under allot of changes since the attack on the building.

The sad and despicable part is...it took direct attacks and loss of precious men and material to get them to do something about it.
After the Kamra attack, teams from an organization were asked to go look at PAF bases and help set up a surveillance and monitoring system at the remaining PAF bases. To start with, they took a trip to PAF Muridke which houses the UAV wing of the AF..

In the words of a friend.. "Khala ji ka ghar" is an understatement.
Yours truly waltzed in into PAF Faisal without so much as the guard even passing a look at me back in 2008.

I shared some details on kamra base with @nuclearpak while ago.......theu depend on vigilant teams allot which has nothing more than 4 guys with g3 with 40 rounds each. Though the system has changec now. Anyone visiting the base including resident quarters have to go 3 tier security gates......i go to MRF where chinese reside very often to see relativez

yes, ISI is a very "interactive" organization.

As for the rest of your comments, @Oscar I can tell you that the gentleman tipped to head C4I in next couple of turns is very capable and I have a lot of respect for him, Some other course mates of his also in GHQ are least worthy of respect.

That said, Army did move on, specially in Gen Musharraf's time. ERPs were implemented ( with varying degree of success ), end to end security systems were placed, things like 2 factor authentication, biometric authentication were implemented.

However Army's own structure and mindset is hindering it's progress. Until and unless our JCOs and NCOs are trained further, and our officers get a taste of private sector processes and procedures, we are not going to speed up the progress.

Every Army in the world has the same problem, and same scenario. Without exception.

This in addition to other reasons and factors that I best not discuss.

These are what Pak armed forces are all about.......they go to China or the US with a begging bowl in their hand.....then China or the US feeds them.....Pak armed forces have turned Pakistan into a "BEGGAR STATE"

Don't shoot from your A$$ if you don't know what you are talking about. Nothing is given for free.

Read up on my reply from previous page......yes we are working on networks.....stop acting like a child.....and respect the members...nobody is bound to share their knoweldge with you......and how the hell can you say we do not have database for our soliders?......do you even know they have started issuing new computerized ID cards......read your stuff.....do your homework and than come back here with question
