That's because India have 20 official language (With Hindi being given special attention by the GOI). Never understand why don't they just adopt English in the first place.

On topic still can't believe that there are still practice like this. In here it's all about money. If the landlord don't want Indian making curry or Chinese doing whatever. Shouldn't he/she just add a special clause in their contract forbidding them from doing such thing. In here if you bring Durian or other foul smelling items that breach your contract you can be expected to be kicked out immediately.

Its true the Landlady kicked @Ayush out as soon as she heard that he was a Vegan because he had a bloody tomato garden growing in his lounge; with tomatoes coming out of every nook and cranny of his Sofa !
