I'm not trolling. I'm merely pointing out the hypocrisy of one preaching others about the evils of religious discrimination, when he himself practices that on the very highest level.

One simply cannot choose to be secular during the day and other way around at night, that, my friend is called hypocrisy.

As a matter of fact, it's you who is trolling here, trying to nitpick on events that does not reflect the nature of the society.

Does Govt. of India decree religious or racial discrimination ? No, it does not.

Does that stop anyone from being religiously biased ? No, because it is a free country. Denying rentals does not mean any offence.

Is India responsible for this ? No. It's a personal choice.

Now, if you are really worried and concerned, write a letter to this person, or even you can post that letter here in this forum and I will make sure the letter reaches the person concerned. That will be the right thing to do.

it is fine to refuse tenancy to some yoga/mba/software-engineer strange person with two dogs but it is illegal and anti-human to refuse on such frivolous basis as religion, gender and marital status.

it is illegal... simple... and i as muslim wouldn't want to live in such a place because knowing how middle-class muslims have turned out ( mullah/burqa type ) in the last 20 years, this place will become a ghetto.

You missed the other parts of that link and picked up only a portion, community based housing societies are permissible. Besides, owner of a private property is free to decide whom to rent his/her house, you cannot have a law against it.

And you are preaching discrimination and fighting against it at the same time.

Lastly, that Muslim only housing society is also legal. But you should look at the hypocrisy here, one Muslim was refused one flat in Mumbai, and there is so much controversies, and in that big housing complex hundreds or thousands of flats are being refused to the entire non-Muslim population of India without any such fuss!
