Let me give you a concrete example. Day in and day out I read western news reports of how the Chinese government is censoring news reports of the Libya uprising because the old men in power are desperately afraid of losing their grip on power.

Day in and day out I go to the Chinese media and read well-balanced accounts of the western invasion of Libya. No detail left out.

Where is the all-mighty communist propaganda machine that supposedly brainwashes all Chinese, including a Canadian citizen like me living half a world away?

So, Google with all its data servers is not capital intensive? Its not as capital intensive as Intel but it sure is extremely capital intensive. If it was all about just variable software costs, another wannabe would have taken over half the search market by now. Google is so hardware intensive that they have their own solar power plants to supply energy to their data centers. Neeed moooore anaaalysis than making statements and thinking that others would accept them blindly. Chinese must understand that people like to debate in freer societies with points and counterpoints and then arrive at a reasonable conclusion. Then we respect the view of the dissidents as well.
