I think Punjabi has 2 scripts - Gurmukhi and Shahmukhi. The later is used in Pak. Yes, the Urdu fixation is absurd though. They somehow claim to be heirs of the Mughal empire. And even wanted a "Mughal Corridor" connecting East and West Pakistan. If wishes were horses...
