Israel had it deployed on its territory during Sand storm and Shock and Awe [ modified with improved Israeli software], and still refused it, due to its incapacity to intercept ballistic missiles. All and all, its an expensive piece of crap.

We know very well that some of the missiles struck in Saudi Arabia and killed people.
The Patriot system is not an efficient system against ballistic missiles.
Even when Saddam Hussein fired missiles at Israel the Patriot system was poor.

This is why cold launch system is so dangerous and west prefer hot launch system , although its expensive to make and operate but it much safer for launch platform even if launch go wrong.

That was PAC-1. It was a decent SAM system of its time but premature for intercepting missiles. Think of it as WW1 era Tank for the said purpose.

PAC-2 and PAC-3 are true ABM systems, with actual history of intercepting missiles in combat situations. PAC-3 have intercepted even cruise missiles in recent tests. So there's that.
