Nawaz's claim of 10,000 MW is a simple lie

@AbuzarIlyas

Promise was of improving power generation which they did. As far as private power producers are concerned this policy was promulgated by Zardari in 1994, who in order to cut a stake for himself blocked govt. investment for setting up public owned power units and pushed for private producers in power sector.

Even if the generation is more than demand the outdated high loss feeders in KPK, Punjab and Sindh as well as faulty power lines would continue to affect normal and consistent power supply. For that investment and will is required from the govt. Major cities around the world has underground power supply. So many people die due to fallingpower lines in KArachi and Lahore during rains and storms and electricity is affected. This issue will be solved permanently.

PML-N had not only built Punjab Govt. owned units, also signed with China to build 700 KV power line from Matiari, Sindh to Punjab. NTDC and our pathetic bureaucracy continued to delay it due to their systemic laziness, this year they only kept half of the proposed allocation in budget for power lines and the power line is still delayed for several months before work starts.
WHo hired this Beaurecracy ? After governing Punjab for 3 decades Sharief family is saying the beaurecracy is the issue ...

You dont have to post a thread on it.Everybody in Pakistan knows it
Everybody?
Ok so let's count

By Punjab Government
1180 MW Bhikki Power Plant
1223 MW Balloki Power Plant
1230 MW Haveli Bahadur Shah Power Plant

Under CPEC
1230 MW Sahiwal Coal Power Plant
1230 MW Port Qasim Coal Power Plant
880 MW Wind Power project

Various other power projects
969 MW Neelum Jehlum Hydropower Project
147 MW Partind hydropower project
106 MW Golen Gol Hydropower Project
1410 MW Tarbella 4th extension project
680 MW Chashma 3 & 4 Nuclear power plant
400 MW Quaid e Azam Solar Power Plant
425 MW Nandipur power Plant
225 MW Bagasse power plants

I can provide the pictures of each and every project... Also in 2012 Pakistan was generating 10,814 MW while demand was 16,814 MW.

But now in 2018 Pakistan is generating 20000 MW while demand is 22-23K MW and installed capacity has gone up to 29K MW
Bhai power plants are not operational, under construction... mismanagement, corruption unearthed... cases are in court, Nandi pur and other projects in Punjab have many question marks on them. These figures looks beautiful on papers but cases in NAB and FIA are telling another story. The projects were funded by CPEC funds, unfortunately many chinese officials residing in Pakistan are a party to these cases siding with PMLN.

Money raised through tax spent in circular debt. Our main source is IPP system these dasys with 4000 operational new power plants and 6000 were already operational. PMLN social media propaganda is good at installing 40,000 MW in Pakistan but nothing on ground. Quaid e Azam Solar Power plant was budgeted for 1000 MW but only aroud 100 MW was installed which is producing less than 25 MW due to technical limitations and mismanagement.

Digital Jadeed Corruption!

.
you missed the figure... as you said Pakistan was generating 10K while demand was 16.. did you know that the capacity was "19K at that time :) so in 2018, they generate 20K and demand is 22 ... clearly evident that PMLN in real just increased the capacity of 1000MW... :)
there is a difference bw installed capacity and running capacity. Suppose a dam is 4000mw, it only produce this max capacity when dam is full. otherwise it maybe 3000 or less. further if a solar plant of 100mw, it produce electricity for only 5.5 hours a day which makes around 28 running power. these days tarbella and mangla are at dead level, So we are at loss with lot of power. Hope this helps

Promise did not fulfilled sir. Records ko aag lag rahi hy and projects are still not functional. IPPs 10,000 MW is also a myth, the seths including Mian Mansha are giving us merely 30 percent of the committed electricity. Chartered Accountants are doing their jobs to complete electricity in papers. A WAPDA senior official once contacted me on facebook and requested me to raise the issue of audit for IPPs.

The seths and mill owners are eating huge chunk of case from circular debt. Kickbacks for the PM of that time... It is more dirtiest than you think. I can also deliver you a 125cc with all components but none of them is operational. That will not be a fulfilled promise.

Privatisation is the only thing that will work for Pakistan, so Zardari was on the right track. Big fish(Pakistani ELITE AKA Trash) that is actually using the power don't pay their bills for uninterrupted power supply they get 24/7, Problem here is because power producers aren't getting Paid for their supply to the national grid, they cut down on production.

Kesc is private ... They are also doing load shedding and recivovering power theft through billing line losses

Yes, they are private, but as I said payment of the dues on time is the issue:

K-Electric has cited low gas pressure being supplied by SSGC as the reason behind the increased load-shedding. According to a KE spokesperson, power plants have been affected by a gas shortfall of 100 mmcf.

K-Electric has agreed to pay security deposit to SSGC as a customer. Following the payment of the deposit, SSGC has agreed to provide more gas to the power utility company to assist in reduction of load-shedding.

.
Zardari was on the right track.

How on earth can anyone say such stupid BS. That 1994 IPPs policy was IMF and that traitors cooked deal , and is the reason Pakistanis are still suffering from pathetic inconsistent electricity supply and water supply problems to this day after 24 years. It was made to open window for Zardari to acquire his commission from private investors. It was never meant to be doable as it removed revenue generating taxes. Its long-term damages are still something we're suffering from apart from food inflation rise and devaluation of rupee that started then, to strangulate and eliminate the middle class. Building of dams is also part of the policy. IMF made his policies and pushed them to cut infrastructure development funds to zero. Destroyed and corrupted the health and education sector by filling in illiterate loyalists and ghost employees.
Privatization also comes with a more expensive cost. Circular debt is also thanks to privatization where KESC refused to pay for the furnace oil and under utilized its plants by shutting down units to give less electricity to consumer but huge dividends to its masters.

The problem with Pakistan is most people are uneducated ....
Those educated are immensely ignorant...or just blinded by love of a party!
People get excited by just seeing a news headline we "will" produce xyz or we have inaugurated xyz - thinking that = to actually getting something!

They get excited just by idiots yelling we will give you/ have given you xyz...Without questioning where this xyz is?! Recently Noon league said we have the electricity give me vote, I will teach you to use it...To me that sounded clearly like a gunda holding back our electricity, produced by our money like that can only come from a mafia!

The courts need to quicken their pace and charge these crooks! Because for sure we dont have half of what they claimed to deliver and we need that money to pay the debt as well as build where they couldnt!

Mismanagement is the biggest problem with Pakistan....A professor once told me, the problem with Pakistan is people who cant manage will take the position just satisfy their ego and of course for the perks! Everyone is interested in high ranking job/ projects without any idea of how to do it or manage it! And once constructed, running the facility and managing further is another skill that is nonexistent!

Privatization is not the ONLY solution!

The ONLY solution is bringing capable people to top posts and expelling safarish leaches!

Circular Debt reached 1000 billion rupees. Hail mismanagement!

I dont understand where Ishaq Dar's case went! I barely read about that creature!

Sir g devil is in details, for example Port Qasim project comprises of two power plants of 660 MW each only one is operational till to date....

Nelum Jehlum is also incorrect figure as out of four plants only one is operational ... I have checked only two plants and both figures are miss-reported. Kindly do the homework first and then quote ... Pictures means nothing ,,, otherwise nandipur is the perfect example of making us fool ...

Furthermore, wind power, solar power and hydal power generation v/s capacity varies alot, whatever you are quoting is the installed capacity, actual generation is much lower specially in case of solar and wind ...

Ok even if one is functional that doesn't mean they didn't made it in their tenure
About Neelum Jehlum yes there was an oil leakage which will be repaired soon and the production will start again things like this happens all over the world

But saying that they just lied is also BS I have done much homework

Now about capacity factor you are saying yeah every plant has a specific capacity factor that's why Pakistanis generating 20K MW while installed capacity has gone up to 29 K MW and will further increase when all the power projects will be completed

You should know there are many many more power projects that are under construction which includes

RLNG , SOLAR ,COAL , NUCLEAR ,HYDRO and WIND

Everybody?

Quaid e Azam solar 400 MW has been comolecom use Google maps there are 4 blocks of 100 MW each

PMLN's 10,000 MW claim is totally baseless. We are producing a total of 20,000 MW with a share of more than 10,000 MW from private power plants (IPPs) whereas government owned generation units were already producing 6000 MW before 2013.

Ex Minister for Information Maryam Aurangzeb today claimed a more bigger lie of 15,000 MW which should be debunked. I will post here some website links and screenshots of NTCD control room screen.

PMLN's projects only added 4000 MW in 5 years with tens of billions of dollars investment.
Any idea where those 10,000 MW go ? ...

We have problem, educated don t question the ruling class. Masses obey keema wala naan . For west this corrupt democracy suits them . Because they steal national wealth and invest in West. This is automatic investment.

By Punjab Government
1180 MW Bhikki Power Plant ... Ok
1223 MW Balloki Power Plant ... Not yet completed
1230 MW Haveli Bahadur Shah Power Plant ... Ok

Under CPEC
1230 MW Sahiwal Coal Power Plant ... Ok
1230 MW Port Qasim Coal Power Plant ... Only 615 is operational
880 MW Wind Power project ... From where are you getting this figure ... Even the total installed capacity is lower that the figure you are quoting whereas most of the projects were planned and initiated by PPP and are in sindh ... Totally baseless figure

Various other power projects
969 MW Neelum Jehlum Hydropower Project only 230 is working
147 MW Partind hydropower project ... Started by zardari .. but i can give the credit to pmln ...
106 MW Golen Gol Hydropower Project ... Again started by PPP
1410 MW Tarbella 4th extension project
680 MW Chashma 3 & 4 Nuclear power plant ... Tarbella only 470 MW plant is operational ... Whereas it was planned by PPP
400 MW Quaid e Azam Solar Power Plant ... 400 MW means at max you can have 80 MW as the maximum efficiency is 20%
425 MW Nandipur power Plant ... Who dont know about issues of nandipur aa it requires cpmplete overhauling of the plant
225 MW Bagasse power plants ... I cannot verify these figures but like your other figures these are weak ...

So brother in short ... Brother lots of projects are incomplete ... Lot of hydel and wind projects were started by ppp and as usual pmln are miss quoting the figures ...

Actual generation is much less
