NEW DELHI/LONDON: Without naming Pakistan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said countries promoting terrorism must be isolated.

Addressing the media along with UK Prime Minister David Cameron, Modi said terrorism was not a matter confronting just two or three countries.

He said terrorism had spread so much today that it respected no borders.

"Daily there is a new terrorist group, daily they get new weapons. Surely, the terrorists don't manufacture these weapons."

Modi said humanity had to unite against terrorism and "those who promote terrorism should be isolated".

India has consistently accused Pakistan of promoting terrorism on Indian soil.

Cameron said he and Modi would have "intense discussions" on Friday on the issue of terrorism.

"India has suffered on the streets of Mumbai, and we have suffered on the streets of London."

He said it was not just a question of closing down terrorist camps or the space they occupy. The world also needed to deal with the narrative of the terrorists.

Did he not get the welcome he deserved??? or did he not hear from the British law makers and the media on brutality that goes on India with his permissions (been the case for a decade or two)!! I agree with his statement though, let's lock him up first and run MANY minority murder cases on him!!

Not really, if it was, then most of the western governments would have halted all relations with Pakistan. As it is, they've deepened their relations with Pakistan, despite India's continued efforts. Even the US is get back on Pakistan's good side, simple example being that the US offered to give 8 F-16s to Pakistan, which Pakistan didn't even ask for.

The truth is that money gets the message across, and the only reason why India doesn't have a bad reputation, even though they elected a murderer, is because India has money.

Isolating Pakistan does not mean halting relationship with Pakistan. India itself maintains relations with Pakistan through the presence of its High commission. What India wants is rejection by the world of Pakistan's use of terrorists as state policy and use their influence in prevailing upon Pakistan to give up that policy.

Pakistan is the biggest sponsor of terrorism. By far nothing comes close. So far 60,000 terrorists have been killed in Kashmir, mostly Pakistani Punjabis, and mostly during crossing the border. The World's most wanted terrorist was found and killed in Pakistan. Pakistan is known for a fact to have nurtured the Taliban. The World's largest number of banned terrorist organizations and terrorists have origins/bases in Pakistan. Mumbai attack was done by Pakistanis. And here you are trying to act holier than thou ? WTF.

Talking about Muslims as if you care and as if you really can. Who exactly gave you the responsibility to worry about Muslims across the globe ? you can't even take care of yourself.
