Nope. It actually means, something on the line of.... 'favored by Pashtuns' 'of Pashtuns' 'for Pashtuns' 'Haven of Pashtuns' 'haven for Pashtuns' etc etc etc...... take your pick......

I remember listening to an interview of that Pashtun guy from PML Q I've forgotten his name & he said that Pukhtoonkhwa means 'in the presence or in the vicinity of a Pashtun' & he was saying that even now the anchor was sitting 'pukhtoonkhwa' because he was sitting next to a Pashtun !

Naturally he didn't support the name !

MUJHAY CHOR YAAR..........APNA MULK TABAH HO RAHA HAI.

you are from Quetta ..... hearing about your native city reminded me one icnident....i had this baloch guy with me when i was doing my bachelor ....he was so anti-Pakistani that what he use to do was wrtie Pakistan on a paper ...use to drop it over floor and tend to walk over it......duh ..... he was on a free scholarship from govt quota for baloch students ...on the other hand we punjabis had to pay a hefty amount but still he use to hate punjabis and Pakistan

Though after 4 years of bachelor he tend to get bit softer ...but still had that old thing locked inside his heart....just curious is it the norm there ....what %age of such league exists in quetta or other parts of balochistan

That cant be invoked in this situation where we are only discussing what pakhtunkhwa means. Plus we are making efforts in that direction exactly... but a misguided sense of nationalism is a huge reason for a number of problems. Ethnic identity itself is not the issue, its ethnic identity being directed on anti-pakistani lines. We can only fight that by understanding the ethnic issues plaguing us and knowing history, culture and traditions. We are noble but dont understand how to fight the issue and its more than clear we arenèt disengaged with ethnicity.

These identities indeed should have gone into the background... but since promoting nationalism which we have always felt needs to come simultaneously with crushing any ethnic sentiment they havent. Time for a change in strategies. Time to win people by respecting the ethnic identity as each one of our cultures makes us as rich as we are.

Nationalism, honor, victory.
