My Motherland Pakistan

@MastanKhan Now that you are in Pakistan ; please try to understand
Pakistan's economic problems and weaknesses

All your posts and threads about Aircraft acquisitions always Ignore the
Economic REALITY of Pakistan

Talking about economic problems, is there any development in the slum that you live in?

Muslim areas in Lucknow are the same as they have always been. Cows, dogs roaming around and gobar pasted around the mortar on brick pathways. Our area of chowk has been the same and you can't kill either cows or monkeys for fear of Hindus.

India should be ashamed of what it does to its people-then talks big on Pakistan's economic issues. Economic development in India is favored towards certain regions. Bihar is still as it was as are many other areas.

I Left Pakistan in the mid 80s and I noticed things are going down hill since late 90s, everytime i go back I find it dirtier than before, specially Karachi

Hi,

This is my 4th visit to my motherland in the last 34 years---and it has been the most disappointing visit so far---.

I have visited the cities like Islamabad---Lahore---Multan---I traveled by road.

I was shocked to see the amount of filth and trash filling the streets and side walks of the cities---. The smell of rot and decaying filth is present in all these cities---lesser in Islamabad----less in Lahore but more in Multan---.

The cities are growing without any any personality and character---. The houses in Islamabad are outrageously large---in Lahore close clustered and in Multan one on top of the other---with no finesse---.

Multan was and is the filthiest of all these three cities---disgustingly filthy---even good areas are trash heaps---.

Actually---there are no good areas left in multan---. Totally out of control and rampant construction---with no regard to the building codes---and no one to enforce them either---.

It truly looked like a nation in chaos---looked like people with no direction---a ship without a rudder---total lawlessness on the roads.

As usual---doctors on strikes and poor suffering---.

Never have I observed the plight of the poor in such a distinguishing and open manner in my prior visits as I did now---.

The hope that there was in 2007 for the poor---is no more to be seen anywhere. It is all about greed---theft and plunder now---.

Ditto. Pakistan is a shit hole.

I have been to 'poor' Eastern Europe and seen fine architecture, beautiful small towns with picture perfect buildings. The sign of a cultured people.

Never have I seen filth or the stench of human excrement.

Pakistan is on an exponentially lower strata.

you just described cow belt.. not lucknow.. rest of India is better but I am pretty sure mastan will find even that intolerable.. the difference between developed country and India is huge, in terms of cleanliness.
and also specifically Indians lack civic sense.. rich or poor or middle class...

Like swach bharat abhyan you guys can start a swach Pakistan movement.
This is a step towards cleaning the country.

There should be policy brought in so that minor offenders (<6 months), have the opportunity to pay off their debt to society by cleaning the streets. It would be better than them rotting in a cell at taxpayers expense.

Urban planning laws also desperately need to be introduced, and some kind of standardisation needs to be placed in all towns and cities i.e roads must be a certain width, pedestrian crossing, green spaces every x miles, pedestrian pavements on every major road.

something should also be done in regards to the chaos of overhanging electrical wires

Things in India have improved a Lot because of Modi Government's
Swacch Bharat Abhiyan -- Ofcourse we have a lot more to do

But at least the PM has made cleanliness a National priority

Now the cities are competing and Getting ranked in terms of cleanliness

Swach is a Hindi Word
And since it will be immediately linked back to MODI ; it is a Big No :astagh:

By the Way MODI himself picked up Brooms to start this Mission
Will Nawaz ever do so

Actually except for maybe Chandigargh (sic).. Rest of Indian cities are worse off.. Culcutta, Bombay, Delhi especially Old Delhi, Madras are absolutely chaotic and dirty, Bangalore used to be such a clean green place in the 90's but not any more

No you are LYING through your teeth

I live in India ; I know the facts

Well cities in subcontinent host more ppl and average density per sq/km is high compared to western countries. Some of the cities were founded long time back (other than islamabad) say 2 or 3 centuries back. If you see cities in US are relatively new and there is no way they can be compared to the older subcontinent ones.
