IAm sure not all Indian states tax liquor the same.higher sales to kashmir could also means people from different part of India using Kashmir license to acquire liquor at lower taxes.before the truck leaves the manufacturing plant or warehouse excise taxes and state taxes are applied and paid.Kashmir being the only majority Muslim state is more then likely not taxing liquor as other states.
This kinds of deals happens in Pakistan and most other Asian countries any thing to make more buck and save on taxes.this clearly shows why the sales are higher on Muslim sides and not on Hindu side of the state.as Hindus will want part of the profits while Muslim are happy with what ever they made on the sale of there name to acquire the license.(Muslim is looking at it this way that he or she sold the name for the license and not profiting from the alcohol)
And by explaining this with a business point of view no way iam saying the Muslims drink or not it isn't my place to question others action.
