All i've read so far from the threadstarter is "Musharraf is corrupt, corrupt, corrupt" etc etc..
Nothing credible to come up with to back up his accussations.
Really now, I know it's hard to admit, but he has been one of the better leaders we've had in our history. I know it's hard to swallow that fact, just look at the statistics regarding our economy back then.
I mean, these threads have come and gone, we've had plenty of discussions with other mindless Musharraf bashers and trust me, they had the same shouts and slogans, but little to back it up.
Just leave it be, this man has achieved more in his life than any of those bashers ever could. A true son of Pakistan and I respect his efforts.
Ofcourse he has mades mistakes, but I would give anything and anyone a chance over the current bunch of "leaders".
You dare call him corrupt, but corrupt in what sense? All these internet warriors do not know what it means to serve your nation. This man has served our country for so long, nothing but respect.
Why on earth would he want to fill his bank account with corrupt money? While he has already achieved so much, wealth does not drive him, it is idiotic to even think of that.
He makes his money by indeed giving lectures, and if I recall, he wrote a book as well.
I'm pretty sure he's free to do so. Atleast he earned it fair and square.
RayKalm, you shouldn't waste your energy on trying to bash this man, he is a true patriot, regardless of what you think of him.
It's shameful a common Pakistani, most likely living in Canada?, insults a man of Musharraf's stature and achievements.
You people think he sold out the country to the Americans back in 2001? Well hey, I hate to break it to you, but back then, and what happened with 9/11, being in charge of Pakistan was perhaps the most dangerous job.
He always stated that he was walking a thin line back then, and always thought of what is in best interest of Pakistan.
But then again, all these internet bashing warriors most likely know what's better.
You should salute him, he is a man of honor, better yet, I love that man, and can only hope to achieve even an inch of what he has.
A true patriot and Pakistani, remember that.
Regardless, I do not have any ill feelings to my countrymen/women, you are free to think of him in your ways, but please, have respect where it's due.
You people make him sound less than a dog, which is so shameful.
The future is indeed with Imran Khan and PTI, atleast I hope it is, so let us focus on that.
If and when Musharraf returns, it will most likely be when this current government is out of order.
And I doubt Musharraf still has a political future in Pakistan, but nevertheless, he is an asset and is always ready to serve Pakistan when & where ever.
