This is disheartening.

There were such massive numbers out there. I would like to imagine there would have been radio contact and seasoned individuals who would have shared a few tips in a situation like this.

We are not talking about far flung areas of the north but foothills of ranges. The infrastructure is not enough to sustain the locals yet millions are social engineered towards tourism by the government without any consideration of public and environmental safety.
