What's new

Motorway Police official & Army officers scuffle on the Motorway.

IMO it was the show of power, the influential one prevailed, the motorway assholes don't know how to talk, they can't help people for shit, when you complain about people being robbed they say sir hamay pata hai app ik kam karay gaari taiz chalaya karay, when they tried to exert their power of on ssg boys, they retaliated and beat the shit of these assholes.

It is widely accepted that Motorways police is one of the most (perhaps only?) respected of Gov departments. They are well trained and polite. I have seen them pushing broken cars to roadside, while owners steered them. They are known for being strict though. You break the law and they'll fine you for sure.

And even if the police was actually harassing these "SSG boys", it was not even remotely appropriate for two or three mobiles full of jawans to show and thrash these guys. Army is influential after all, they could have done much more through proper channels. But instead they chose to waste tax payer money to rough up these guys and look like utter assholes and got caught with their pants down on all TV channels. Some brave commandos.

Whatever happened there, regardless who's version is true, one thing is for sure that these morons brought shame to the institution. And its shameful that people are taking their side.

Just another day in Pakistan. Trust me everyone who is lion here, be it any citizen who has power, civil or uniformed , acts just like a bheegi bili when outside of pakistan. The Gunda gardi mentality is deeply ingrained in Pakistani society

It is a fine line between officer and thug. Remove it and all is lost.

nothing more could be expected from a person named "Imran Khan"

Remember the High Court judge that created a scene at being stopped and searched when entering a controlled area? How was the Army guard supposed to know a real or fake judge? He must check every one. That is his duty.

Now consider the Motorway Police. They see speeding cars, who do not stop. What are they supposed to do? It is their duty to issue tickets to those violating the law. How would they know who is driving the vehicles?

What happened afterwards is just stupidity on top of stupidity, in typical Pakistani fashion.
In mr justice case, it became quite embarrassing for CJ KPK because CCTV clearly established fault of the judge.

The point is that the guard was allowed to do his duty properly. Here, the two officers must be given the speeding tickets, at the very least. What happened afterwards deserves its own investigation and punishment on all sides.

Check out Wolfe Tone V Regina 1798. Yes, that is 218 years ago. Pakistan in terms of rule of law is behind what Britain was 218 years ago. The supremacy of civil law prevailed over the military even over 200 years ago. That was the time British Army was invading and taking over half the world but when it ran into civil law it retreated like a slug retreats into a shell.

Think about that.

Your post gives an impression that civil and military laws are two different things, in fact Military law is also an act of parliament therefore it is not something beyond civil law. All over the world military try their personnel themselves under military law because it is swift and does not consume time like civil courts especially once military is on active duty.

The point is that the guard was allowed to do his duty properly. Here, the two officers must be given the speeding tickets, at the very least. What happened afterwards deserves its own investigation and punishment on all sides.
Totally agreed. Rest assure it will be done.
The only concern is the way it was used as military maligning campaign.

Let the maligners try what they might. The best weapon is honesty. Let the officers be disciplined after due process, and let that fact be known to everyone, officers and civilians alike, so that justice is seen to be done. That will help reduce any future incidents, which is far more important in the long run.

Substandard behaviour from army officers...no individual is bigger than institute... let wheels of justice turn

That is because both are fundamentally differant and are intended to address differant domain. My post gave you that impression because it was precisely intended to do so.

All laws are enacted by parliament - it is the sovereign body.

The issue here is when and if both clash (civil and military) which one has supremacy. Wolf Tone v Regina 1789 established a precedent the civil law always supercedes military law even in war time. This is a fundamental concept with British Common Law and other jurisdictions that have legal systems anchored in British Common Law - that includes Pakistan.

I just dont understand this "civil" and "military" debate! just try to be honest with yourself for a change! the clash here is between criminals and the state. the "parliament" is NOT supreme...it is a bunch of crooks and murderers hell bent on enslaving and killing off all ordinary people. they have been proving it for 70 years+. I posted the audio clip about the incident...as I had suspected the motorway guy thought he had the crooks backing him and got a beating for it.
have the crooks pretending to be politicians ever done a honest days work in their life?
an please forget the a martial law has derailed democracy and so on-----the crooks have shown you over the past 8 years what a free ride for democracy is like! and moreover the "martial" dictators were actually politicians----thye were chosen for political reasons----militarily they were totally unfit for command! Ayub Khan a sandhurt trained infantry officer was doing a PRO officer job in the peak eyars of WW2!, yahya khan was a complete moron he mucked up the akhnur attack in 1965 and lost us kashmir-he deserved to guillotined---ziaulhaq was the juniormost lt general and his peers thought he had no more capacity to command anything above a regiment [battalion]---and to crown it all Musharaff the biggest moron of then all said it himself in his ghost written book that when he asked to see his own service/personnel file on becoming army chief he was himself surprised he made it to chief!
disband the motorway police and replace it with the ranger highway patrol run by army.......and hang the motorway officals involved in this fiasco as wel the politician crooks who tried to exploit this AND confiscate their assets....after a just trial of course..

Someone just shared this video on my facebook . I cannot read 15 pages so whats current update? Any clarification about what actually happened ?

First of all nobody was "tortured"

The police tried to pick the personnel weapons of the officer, take his car keys, used bad languages and tried pushing them into the police vehicle despite showing credentials. You do not ever do that to a military personnel especially SSG Commandos! Amazing that Media and some geniuses over here left out these "petty" details.
