More Propaganda: ISI behind 26/11, Indian embassy bombing

This report is based upon assumption and not factual evidence. What I can not understand is how the hell did the British reporter get an interview with a Taliban commander, and that too under the noses of the ISI, if our agency, is supporting the organization.

The reporter claims Pakistan is playing a double game, because it want's aid money, but he failed to realise and mention an imperative fact that the economy of Pakistan has been badly effected costing over $40 billion. These ungrateful rats are arrogant enough to blame Pakistan, but they fail to see there own short comings, which contributed to the growth of the Taliban. If America did not take its eye ball back in 2005, then we wouldn't even be in this mess. Plus what is irritating is the fact that if the various CIA agents knew that Pakistan was playing a double game back in 2001-2003 then why didn't they do anything.....no point moaning and whinging.

I have yet to hear or see any proof in the program. All i see is a few guys dressed in bedsheets hiding the identity and alot of "make your own mind up because the finger points to". I think it is remarkable propaganda. If you got the proof then put it in front of us and stop the speculation.

this is not going to help Pakistan's image at all. Either the Pakistani strategist something hidden up their sleeve ( which i doubt) or they have made a huge miscalculation....

The point is, would Pakistan keep the secret and guarantee that the the Operation Geronimo would not be leaked to OBL and his stooges? That's what US had as a doubt in its head and hence it took the action. After 10 years of manhunt and pouring more than most economies' worth in the world, they managed to corner the man right in your heartland. Do you seriously think they would consider telling you, who's been playing double agent since the start?

What's worse?

Americans killing millions around the world, in the Korean War, Vietnam War, Afghan war and the two Gulf wars ......or Pakistan playing double games? (not to mention the nukes dropped on the innocent people of Hiroshima and Nagasaki..)

To answer that you'll have to go way back to the very beginning when Pakistan joined the US Camp and analyze the events with a neutral mind. Both Pakistan and USA have played each other with Pakistan usually ending up at the short end. Mutual distrust is not new, Pakistan has learned hard lessons, specially after the 1971 war which left it broken into two. We've lived under embargoes and sanctions, and now we're under attack by the same ally! So who's the double agent here?

Exactly! We've fought 4 wars with the same enemy, only interfered with internal affairs of a neighboring country which poses a threat to our security.
How many wars have USA fought? How many regimes, including the ones that went rogue along the years have been installed or supported by CIA? How many innocent lives do the USA have on her hands?

Sir, Pakistan's image is not in our hands, the western media is one of the most powerful weapons that exisit. If they want us to be an escape goat, they will succeed. Even if Pakistan took a U-turn today and became a functioning democracy with a healthy economic growth rate it will not stop western media to dig into history and come up with conspiracy theories untill she's found a new boogyman.

Rare Taliban praise for Pakistan's Maulana Abdul Ghani

The Taliban held the dead maulana in high regard

The Taliban in Afghanistan have issued an unprecedented condolence statement on the death of a top right-wing Pakistani politician.

Maulana Abdul Ghani died in a car crash on 26 October in the southern Pakistani province of Balochistan.

It is the first time that the Taliban have publicly admitted receiving help from members of Pakistan's ruling establishment.

Maulana Ghani's JUI-F political party has close links to Pakistan's military.

It was part of the governing coalition until earlier this year.

Pakistan's leadership has always denied any links to the Taliban.

But a Taliban spokesman told the BBC in a statement that Maulana Ghani - a deputy leader of the JUI-F - was a "martyr for the cause of jihad" - and it would be difficult to replace him.

The former parliamentarian was laid to rest on Wednesday in his native town of Chaman in Balochistan.

Eyewitnesses told the BBC the Taliban's top leadership was in attendance - along with hundreds of local citizens and Taliban foot soldiers.

Later - without giving details - a Taliban spokesman said that Maulana Ghani had shown what he called great courage in supporting the movement after the US-led invasion of Afghanistan in 2001.

He added that the maulana's services and commitment for the cause of jihad would never be forgotten.

Pakistan had the moral courage to allow Millions upon Millions of Afghans in their country over the decades, still continuing..Because Afghanistan is always in some sort of Crisis and if you dont grow poppy.you cant survive..
For that reason...Ant Afghan Taliban or not..has links inside Pakistan and that is inevitable...

the complexity of a sub-conventional war is playing all kind of trick with US minds. Right now, there is total confusion over Afghan policy there in Pentagon. They cannot afford another war with 14 trillion dollar deficit and melting economy, they are not finding Taliban accepting their stay in Afghanistan either and this will sink all their investment in this theatre. Propaganda is indeed their strongest weapon. Hossani Mubbarak and Qaddafi are latest examples, Saddam must not be forgotten either. once they were all allies of US like Haqqani Network itself. but this is only this time, that A war has gone this much wrong for the US.

For instance, note that most readers think there is something wrong with Pakistanis talking tot he Haqqani network - isn't that so? But also notice that majority of readers do not think there is anything wrong with the US and others talking to the Haqqani -- Coincidence??

So unless Pakistani begin to demonstrate that they can ay effectively on the international or even domestic media stage, unfortunately for them, they will continue to get the short end of the stick, so to speak

Its not just about "demonstrating" in media or otherwise .... USA is droning and killing the Haqqanis who are causing trouble in Afghanistan ! is pakistan also doing the same ??? dont compare Pakistans relation with Haqqanis with Americans relation with them !

Do you know the areas where Haqqani network has strong hold?

Do you know where the most US/NATO causalities are taking place?

Do you have anything to say about US desire to negotiate a deal with Haqqani, reply must be in context of your post above?

If you don't have answers, please do something else!

This really bad for Pakistan...such propaganda spells bad news for the future..
Pakistan really needs to strengthen its ties with America asap.. and it knows how to.

The thing is if anyone knows America there pretty much ready to give pakistan now what Pakistan tries to avoid via Afg/Taliban in the future..

America, maybe be down on many fronts right now; but don't take a wounded animal as powerful as America for granted.
