The OP does not discuss annexation of SEA. Nor does it suggest colonization of any nation. The essence of the thesis of the OP is that China may form a sort of voluntary union of economic and geopolitical nature thanks to its growing scale as a center of attraction. That would, in essence, be a loose union.

For SE Asia, China would have better luck with Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Singapore.

For those that are reticent, we can start with an Asian Union (modeled on the European Union rules). This more arms-length model will not include technology transfer or transfer payments to ensure a First World living standard.

The EU mode doesn't work here. European countries are small in territory and population. The are pretty much belong to same race and have the same culture.

China itself is bigger than the whole Europe. We don't have to give up our sovereign to exchange other countries' market. It's not profitable for China.(We get small market and others get whole China market). And it's far more unprofitable(even a loss) if we let SE Asians come to our country. They are different with us. I don't want our culture and race to change color.

The European Union's antecedent started with France and Germany in 1950. Today, the European Union is absolutely massive. There are over 500 million Europeans.

The European Union/NATO is working hard to incorporate Ukraine, Belarus, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan into their union. The European Union has successfully ingested the former Warsaw Pact countries and it is busy trying to integrate all of the former Soviet Republics. Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania are already gone.

In conclusion, unless China is comfortable with NATO sitting on the Chinese-Kazakh border, China had better set up its own Asian Union. The former Soviet Republics are still up for grabs. China simply has to make them a better offer than the Europeans.

I recognize that China is a big power.

However, a powerful bear can be brought down by a pack of wolves.

Eventually, China will be surrounded by wolves. The United States and the expanding European Union will see to their military and economic upgrade.

Today, while China has the clear technological and economic advantage over its neighbors, it's a good idea to expand China's economic and military influence. Look at how powerful the European Union has become with a bunch of formerly little states.

In my view, China cannot stand alone indefinitely. Eventually, NATO will have China cornered; just like Russia today. It will take longer, but the NATO alliance will reach China one day. By then, it will be too late.

Right now, there is still time. China should expand into a competing Asian Union alliance against the European Union/NATO/United States.

Not interested. Should we incorporate Kyrgyzstan too? That was also Qing dynasty land. Some Chinese irrendentists disturb me with their obsession with inhospitable, arid, and burdensome lands. Let's not be like certain "Akhand Bharat" fanatics on the other side of the Himalayas.

Besides, virtually all Mongolian exports (basically minerals) flows to China. It's the equivalent of owning the country, without the liability of administering it.

I can imagine in time to come with enough percentage in the population, each racial group will form their own respective political parties to challenge the incumbent. We may see a racial-motivated political tug-of-war that will be detrimental to SG. PAP has a lot to think about.

It does seem strange to talk about bringing in new people or having China enter into an Asian Union alliance (modeled on the European Union). The quick and dirty method is to take the European Union rules/chapters and sweeten them a bit as a proposal to neighboring low-population Asian/Central Asian countries.

The fundamental truth is that NATO has only two objectives: Russia and China.

You don't need NATO to fight any other countries. The U.S. carrier battle groups alone can exert full military dominance over Iran, North Korea, any Latin American country, or any African country.

The singular objective of the European Union (and its military arm NATO) backed by the United States is to exert control over Russia and China. Russia is not doing too well at the moment. In ten to twenty years, without allies, China will be surrounded on all sides by NATO or NATO-friendly countries.

Chinese are supposed to be smart and strategic thinkers. If you can't beat them, join them. The only way out is to form China's own version of the European Union. Otherwise, in my opinion, the long-term future for China does not look good.

PAP has openned floorgate. Now SG population is pop-up by immigrants to be able to sustain it. Removing immigrants is impossible. Next step is to maintain racial domination, there is no other way.
