Yes very tolerant in case of blasphemy.

All systems have red lines meant to preserve the system. That is even 'progressive' countries seldom tolerate treason and other acts that are deemed to threaten the foundation of the system itself.

That is why you had the red scare. This is also why the FBI was actively involved trying to take down the Wall Street protesters.

Blasphemy laws and such are part of self preservative mechanisms for an Islamic system.
