Iran really benifited when it was with US, in 80's they were the only country outside the USA TO HAVE F-14 Tomcats, they had chinooks, modern weapons.

melb4aust I belive that that is the plane iran made by itself. They might not have the best air force but their missiles tech is surley one of the best. But then again it is russia, china who helped iran with their missile tech.

This is an advanced trainer built buy Iran indigenously but still in flight testing phase.
After the fall of Shah, Iran has gained the capability of overhauling and modernising its fighters at home.
77 F-14 tomcats were delivered, 24 still ramain in service while the rest of the fleet has been canabalised for spares.

I believe iraninas were able to find out how to reverse engineer them. Now they can produce them just like cobra helicopters.

Effective lol.......in real terms nothing is effective against american air power i hope that there isnt a war between US and IRAN coz IRAN can hardly do anything against a B-2's carpet bombing besides that F-22 are now in production i think USAF has 20 something by now even these 20 F-22's are more then enough to take out the entire IRANIAN air force and there ground rader net work and after they are through we shall see F-15e strike eagles do regular bombing but yes IRANAIN army is one mean fighting machine unfortunately IRAN doesnt have a decent air force to protect it but IRAN can virtually hit europe and american forces in IRAQ and it can also target isreal so they arent all that bad .

This is indeed a F-5, but did u see the difference, have a look at the twin blades (similar to F-18 Hornet), rather than one. F-5's usually posses 1 blade.

Its called tail-fin. Iran hasnt made any fighters they just modified 10 f-5's with a few new avionics and called it there own fighter...

Exactly "Tail-fin", i forget the termenology, thanx for the correction!!!, Does these twin tail-fins make any difference to the performance of the AirCraft.
