Military denies report on Pakistan-US joint operation in N. Waziristan

RAWALPINDI: A military official on Tuesday rejected The Wall Street Journal report about a probable joint operation in North Waziristan by Pakistan and the US.

“Coordinated actions on respective sides of the Pakistan-Afghan border are a part of routine efforts and should not be mistaken for ‘joint operations’,” the official said.

He further stated that the targeted action during the operation “Tight Screw” in North Waziristan by the Pakistan Army is an ongoing process.

“The operation to squeeze terrorists has been carried out for some months now and there is no new operation as mentioned in the report,” he said.

“When, where and how to carry out within our territory is up to Pakistan alone to decide,” he concluded.

US Media is only spreading propaganda on NWA, thank GOD there was no agreement on NWA operation between the two countries. The thing is US is desperate to throw the fictional war on terror in Pakistan’s lap & escape from all this ongoing mess which has been alone made by US. US is completely stuck over here & whatever they are trying to do over here against Pakistan is out of extreme desperation. Pakistan will not carry out any operation against Haqqani network because of their support to Pakistan & this is the same view of many Pakistanis I met in Pakistan. Just because he is fighting against the occupational US Army makes him US’s enemy not ours.

Whatever operation in NWA by the name of code name Screw Tight operation or surgical operation are going on are I believe mainly against the fake Taliban known as TTP who are funded, equipped & trained by US & her side kick India. We also know there are many attacks taking place from Afghanistan these days & US is completely quiet on it because they are planning all this.

US, India & Israel are trying their very best to trap & provoke Pakistan but thanks to ALLAH Pak Army & the Intelligence agencies are dealing with this threat very well & they understand it nicely.

You guys haven't learned any lesson from secret deals and pacts made by Pakistan military yet? Seriously, how gullible one can be?

If such a deal has taken place, Pakistani military will never acknowledge it in the media.

The military is right when it says that coordinated actions should not be mistaken for ‘joint operations’ because it is perceived that Pak Army soldiers and US soldiers will be shoulder-to-shoulder in the combat zone which is incorrect.

Frankly speaking majority in fact Pakistani people don't believe on Pakistan Army and what ISPR press releases. From last 60 years because of this Army Pakistan is suffering like hell.. before ZIA - PAKISTAN Army after Musharraf + Pakistan Army and now Kiyani + Pakistan Army doing only those things which are just in favor of our enemies like USA especially. Just because of few $$ this Army sold Pakistan. So i believe international news more thn Pakistani ISPR and what Pakistan army said. They always lying about the news and deals with the US.

I hope this deal really hasn't taken place like the secret drone deal...

We haven't cleared south waziristan the hub of Hakimullah Mahsud and now we want to go after the people America wants. Hafiz Gul Bahadur, Haqqani and Nazir should be left alone until we deal with the TTP and local commanders like mullah toofan, hakimullah wali ur rehman and co.
