What's new

Mexicans are Indians from India

Given how zealous the Parsis have been with their fire temples and tower of silence in India, not allowing Hindus even in its vicinity, Hindus and Parsis sharing a temple seem really remote.

Convenience makes for strange bedfellows in foreign lands. While in India they fear about losing their distinct identity and hence zealously protect their temples, in places like Baku, in order to resist harassment as idolators, they needed similar allies. :)

Native Indian from the US don't mean they were the Indian came from South Asia.
Polynesians originate from south East Asia and Southern China.. Polynesian languages have lot in common with Malay and Javanese

First human migration to the America's have considered to have happened during the last ice age.. Crossing the bearing starit that would have connected North America to Northern Asia.. Eventually those people migrated southwards to Central and south America better climates to build civilizations.. One reason you dont see many organized societies among Northern American tribes who were mainly nomadic.. But as you travel to Arizona and New Mexico you get to see permanent dwellings and townships, Ending up is great civilizations of South and Central America's in the Mayan, Aztac and Inca's

Don't need to rain down on the Indian parade, they delude themselves and believe India the past great empire conquer the whole world. from South Asia to the America continent.

Islands like Hawaii were settled long before the Europeans set sail around the globe. I guess the question is were the people who crossed the land bridge related to the Polynesians.

Did the Polynesians come later and mix with the land bridge people. Or were they just a minority or even inconsequential.

Our maritime expeditions to South East Asia are well known. But they were during the 10th-12th centuries, when ships did not have much endurance at sea. The distance between Asia and Americas is too great for us to have traversed it. Even those nearer to the Americas were no better. The Chinese, who were similarly expeditionary, also failed to reach the Americas.

Human habitation of Americas occured during the last ice age, when the Bering Straits between Alaska and Siberia solidified, allowing Humans to cross the continents. Once the ice age ended, the rising sea levels meant that they would remain isolated for nearly 10,000 years.
That bering strait theory doesn't hold water, it was made up to justify colonization of americas, since they crossed bering straits long ago the natives themselves were migrants and therefore cannot claim it as their homeland, while the europeans are the modern day migrants. That was idea behind bering strait theory and aryan invasion theory.

This is not true at all about our ships. We were sailing to Africa. Vasco Da Gama's ship was guided to India by an Indian pilot. So if sailing to Africa was not a problem, South America would not have been that much of a challenge at all.

The people who inhabited the South East Asian/ Pacific Islands and the people who migrated across the Bering Straits were two very different groups. The migration dates are also different. The inhabitation of Pacific Islands happened as early as 50,000-30,000 years ago, whereas the migration to the Americas happened around 15000-12000 years ago.

The thing is Polynesians traveled throughout the south pacific owing to their knowledge of navigation.. The Hawaii islands are thought to be the last to be habitated by humans.. Hawaiians, Tongans and Samoans are very closely related along with the Maori.. I dont think Hawaiians never got to connect with the land bridge people till the European colonization.. Simply because Polynesian migration happened after nearly a millenia of the first migration over land in the Americas

That's the only plausible theory for explaining the habitation of the Americas by anatomically modern Humans. Also, most American tribes have genetic relationship with North-Central Eurasians and East Asians.

I believe humans existed long before continental drift happened.,we think humans evolved only 60,000 years ago,we keep finiding new proof everyday which keeps pushing the date back.We dont see neanderthals now, they vanished, only homo sapiens remain, what happened to them?

Yes, lots of similarities between Zoroashtrian Fire Worship and our Vedic Agni Homas/Havans. Yet the Fire Temples didn't have Hindu priests in them chanting Vedic hymns, but Zoroashtrian priests chanting the Zend Avesta. Hence, i wouldn't call them Hindu. But the Baku Atashgah began to be shared by both communities around 400 years back and eventually the Hindu traders had a Temple built there as well.

No similarity. Common Roots and books and practices and beliefs.

Fire temple is nothing but a temple to Agni.

Hindu temples do not have Hindu priests chanting vedic hymns

Now the real point....Observe the picture of the Ateshgah. See the Trishul on the top ?

1. The Baku temple is about 18 feet square using the principle of Vaastu. In the center is a Agnihotra havanam or homam pit about 3 feet deep and about 4 feet square. The fire burnt continuously due to the natural gas emitting from the bottom of the pit. In Nair household, the family always kept a fire that was never put out. This was a very common Hindu tradition. It has the same Vedic homam pit built at an angle of 51 degrees 49 minutes.

2. In the center of the dome, there is a big opening from which natural sunlight will shine in the pit as is requied by the rules of Agnihotra .

In a Parsee Atash Kadeh, great care is taken to ensure that no natural sunlight shines directly on the holy fire in the sanctum sanctorum.

In a Parsee Atash Kadeh, for the central fire, a high platform like a throne is erected, NOT a sunken inverted pyramid pit.

Above structure is a dome which is not round (circular) as in a Parsee Atash Kadeh. It follows Hindu temple architecture.

Near this building, there is a cremation pit place about 10 feet long where old skull fragments were found . Can this ever happen at a Parsee Atash Kadeh ? ..ask any parsee you know.

This is the inscription on the main structure. See the swastika ?

In the Lenin Museum in Moscow, the idols removed from baku temple is exhibited.

Some statues show Hindu priests in dhoti sitting cross legged doing a Agnihotra fire homam. Some are shown singing kirtans with Hindu musical instruments. They have Tilaks on their foreheads, which nobody else puts .

Finally,

Dr. Sir Ervad Jivanji Jamshedji Modi (1854-1933), was a prominent Zoroastrian Indian priest, scholar and Parsi community leader.
He wrote more than 70 books, produced over 120 scholarly papers on Zoroastrian history, traveled and researched into Zoroastrian affairs extensively and was instrumental in organizing the Parsi community in India. During his lifetime he had been called "the greatest living authority on the ancient history and customs of the Parsis. Over 45 years from 1888-1933 he gave 350 public lectures.
Jivanji traveled extensively right into his senior years in the service of his anthropological researches.

He has categorically stated that the fire temple of Baku is a Hindu temple .

This temple falls on the extension to the Uttaräpatha (Grand Trunk Road) streachin into pakistan, India and Bangladesh.

Are you aware there is a similar Fire temple in India ? It is the Jwalamukhi temple in Kangra valley Himachal Pradesh, where the flame again is fed by natural gas.

Now compare this to Baku.
