What's new

Maulvi fazlullah is sabotaging peace talks

Yes they went in from orders of USA which were given to Musharraf and send their army in to stop Muslims from helping their brothers now I know why our Army is facing hell Sir we need to stop being partners with kufr and USA and other forces other wise we are doomed and best way is help Afghans and other Muslims get rid of USA and India in Afghanistan @qamar1990 Sir they were never tried to control because they never come under control Mr that is why Jinah had the vision and he promised them that no soldier would enter Tribal areas and they never did until blunder made by Musharraf Sir

Actually the tribals were under control, were under rule of political agent and government-sponsored malaks before Afghan jihad, they were never "free", it is a misconception. According to FCR ,tribes used to get punished and fined for any criminal from within them..if a tribe/clan failed to capture a criminal belonging to their tribe or refused to hand over criminal to authorities, then their entire village used to be razed to ground and heavily fined............Political agent, a non-local bureaucrat, was enjoying the power of kings in the agency while malaks were his useful subordinates......This is how british ruled these unruly lands.

Zia ul haq, military establishment messed with that that set up. For sake of Afghan jihad, they sidelined pashtunwali-centric malaks and brought forth mullah..........traditional hujra was replaced by madrassa...............a mullah . who was never a leader in pashtun society, become a leader thanks to zia ul haq.....before that hujra and mosque were two pillers of pashtun society but were always in balance.

Taliban in Afghanistan and then in pakistan were never from privileged classes of pashtun society, they and teacher mullahs challenged the traditional set up , sidelined khans and malaks and opened the doors for every one to become the figure of authority. Today FATA is totally messed up, khans and malaks are nobody and are replaced by taliban commanders............jirga is replaced by taliban shura....................baitullah mehsud killed 300 of them and called them products of british colonial system........on the other end control is in the hand of army, is not giving any authority and attention to these khans and malaks......political agent has become merely subordinate of an army colonel.....
@Aeronaut @Hyperion......agar koi corrections karna hey

The permanent solution is to fence and mine the Durand Line. PA controls the border so that shouldn't be a problem and after that we should launch a major OP against the insurgents !!!

Let Afghanistan cry. our National security should be our first concern.

You could put the world's armies on that border and you'd only make a dent.
If you let me rephrase, not to 'fence' it, but to define the Durand line and enforce it. Which is again very difficult given the mentality of Afghans.

@Dillinger

Please get me in touch with Engineers who can fence the Hindukush.
Did anyone ever tell you that you're a dick !!!

I might be banned for this but it'll be totally worth it :D

Agreed. 100%. Only if others knew. Whatever the case, these Talibans (Mullahs) / Mehsuds and all other lowly tribes (without any lineage) should've been eliminated 100 years ago, as they had no culture to begin with, the exact reason why they fell for the sermon of the Mullah, whereas ALL others knew better.

You should know all about the unfair division of resources in that particular area between tribes (British policy of divide and rule).

Way way more..... it's the frakking mountains dude..... no power on earth can man them..... you'd need at least 10 dedicated satellites to keep a watch on them, with all sort of gizmos. Forget it. Not possible.

You think that only the "routes" are employed for infiltration? Meri jaan unless the PA is blind and dumb the infiltrators will be using nullahs and goat paths and the likes- hundreds of which are scattered across some of the most formidable mountainous outcrops and regions of the world- they don't need a jump point and Haji Pir pass to inject in an armored regiment. Had this been so simple- a nearby composite airbase- well defended sanghars at these routes- armored support with MRAP or MTAVs would have done the job for you already and that too on the cheap.
@Hyperion How many paths do you know of which can be used for infiltration? How many which aren't even known to anyone but the locals? A dozen perhaps?

Actually see if you can find modern prints of Ibn Battutah's works from the 1300s and hand them over to anyone who wants to fence the line. Will clear up two misconceptions at the same time. It cannot be "manned" and that its name has nothing to do with killing Hindus but plenty to do with killing Hindus. The last bit shall remain a mystery to those who cannot grasp Ibn's context.:P

Yeah, never understood these morons equating "hindu-kush" with "killer of hindus"...... LMFAO..... if anything, it should have been called "Roman-Kush"........ killer of Romans.....

Waise I disagree with you. IF we are to get rich then we need to fence the line. @Aeronaut and me had this scheme but in the absence of that this should do, seriously look into those unmanned and autonomous turrets. Then we can use the money to sink BD. :chilli:

Though it did kill a lot of Hindus. As I said, let us not kill Ibn's mystery. :)

Nah, for @Armstrong we have electro-therapy ready..... can't let go of him..... Zarvi on the other hand, I'll push off the mountain myself..... and maybe push a couple boulders as well, just to make sure that he is splattered properly..... :D

Make sure Zarvan is on the right side of the fence before you finish it :) Zarvan and his protégé Armstrong!
