Massive Theater in China Is Inspired by the Grand Mosque of Oman

With this attitude, China is trying to convince the world that nothing is going on in Xingjian? And I've not seen any Chinese member come out to deny the hate, racism in this thread by their fellow Chinese.

Apart from the one idiot, who else was complaining about the architecture of this building? I don’t even know where that one guy gets his premise from because Hui Muslims actually have a good reputation in Chinese society so that’s why his comments are confusing.

Apart from that, there are many Pakistanis on here who’s sole obsession is to spread hate and slander against China and Chinese people 24/7. Is it your responsibility to step in and censor them? So why would it be the responsibility of other Chinese to censor the occasional moron? China has 1.4 billion people, trust me there are no shortage of idiots just like any other race.

you have multiple Pakistanis here spreading lies and hate against Chinese, yet are you calling them out? Are you telling them to deny the hate and racism? No, I only hear crickets, but that's OK. You are not responsible for their actions.

So why should one Chinese be held responsible for another's actions? We don't all know each other.

its the Muslim architecture peoples got inspired from not yours :).

Which is Muslim Architect? In which Muslim country there is a Taj mahal? Muslim Architect. :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

Looks very beautiful in night.

The owners of the Linxia Grand Theater in China wanted their new building to embody the beautiful Middle Eastern design style found in the Grand Mosque of Oman. DUTS Design, the firm chosen for the project, was challenged to use this classic piece of architecture as inspiration while expanding the style for a massive public building.

The new theater is an iconic new addition to the skyline that celebrates Middle Eastern architecture while creating a contemporary building that fits well into the site. One of the biggest challenges for DUTS Design was that the scale of the project is completely different from the scale of the mosque. Linxia Grand Theater sits 150 feet tall and covers an area of almost 175,000 square feet. In addition to the jump in scale, mosques are used for worship and prayer, while the theater required more transparency to share the vibrant events happening within.

Yet another challenge the designers faced was how to include the detailed patterning of the mosque at this scale. To fit the requirements of a public building without massive concrete elements and too little openings for natural light, the designers created a thick outer skin that covers the top of the dome shape and expands to reveal large areas of glazing as the dome reaches the ground.

On the interior, the Linxia Grand Theater includes a main exhibition space that is capable of accommodating over 1,000 visitors divided between floor seats and pool seats. Though the design was inspired by Middle Eastern architecture, much of the interior is defined by Chinese aesthetics—including a stage in the shape of the Chinese character “品.”

You hurt the feeling of a certain religious group.

Are you Christian, Budhist, Atheist or something else ?
He is obviously an indian or whatever flying false flagger to smear the Chinese.
He said the quiet part out loud.
And you can claim high horse of fair and partial of you just based on few random forumer comment on whole Chinese?

useless for such a small town, but if it’s built on Saudi money like some other buildings then I couldn‘t care less
