According to police the bombing material was attached with gas cylinder of the car which explodes and became cause of a human loss and financial loss. According to CCPO Liaqat Khan the actual target of terrorist was police station but due to rush the car cannot reach there. After initial investigation bomb disposal squad said that between 40-50 Kg bombing material was used in the blast.
All wounded people were shifted to Lady Reading Hospital where they are out of danger now. After the blast emergency was declared in LRH and other nearing hospitals. Senior provincial minister Basheer Bloor visited the suffered area. He said that these terrorist attacks are the reaction of operations in Bajur Agency and Orakzai Agency but we are not of them who run away in this situation and we will fight against terrorism until removing them. Senior minister further said that Black water is not involved in these attacks everything is done by Taliban.
Provincial Information Minster Mian Iftakhar Hussain said that successful operations against terrorist are going on and due to this terrorist activities became limited. He said that the base of terrorism was kept in Afghanistan 30 years ago.
It is to be remembered that this is the sixth incident of terrorist attacks in Peshawar during this year and third blast since last three days. On Monday seven people were killed in two blasts targeting Peshawar police.

Looks like the tide of violence is shifting from Afghanistan to Pakistan... Pakistan is clearly not in control over 'certain' militants... the US is infiltrating all these 'certain' militants over the border from the Afghan side into Pakistan, the Pakistani establishment (army, intelligence, government) must do more to protect the lives of Pakistani citizens. Pakistan must take extreme measures to counter these terrorist actions on its soil, to push the tide back against the international forces. If the US is playing games with us, we should really address this issue, and try to expose them and their activities.

R.I.P.

Looks like TTP and other terrorists are still enjoying the Afghan hospitality and Pakistani establishment is still behaving like goons which they are for last few years after US invasion of Afghanistan.

How long can the nation of Pakistan continue to face the wrath of home grown insurgency? Is now the time to avoid the truth and permit conspiracy theories to outweigh the facts? This was the third major bombing in or near Peshawar in the last week. The cities of Karachi and Lahore were also targeted last week by suicide bombers. Do we not see that if left unchecked the terror network spreads across the great nation of Pakistan? Is it not homegrown insurgents who are causing this chaos and mayhem? TTP has boastfully claimed responsibility for these attacks in which government officials seem to be the prime targets. In December, police chief Liaquat Ali Khan pointed to a drop in attacks in 2010 as evidence that authorities had "broken the back" of the insurgency in Peshawar.

Do you not see the TTP and their counterparts are retaliating because the government of Pakistan is countering insurgency? The freedom with which they have been orchestrating attacks on mosques, shrines, shopping centers and schools proves the hard line approach they have taken in their attempt to destabilize the nation of Pakistan. Should we shy away from reality and start blaming the US, when in fact, the problem lies within Pakistan?

Let us not forget that as with Afghanistan, the US and Pakistan are trying to achieve a common objective by fighting, as allies, a common enemy. Would it make sense for the US to commit billions of dollars of military aid to Pakistan to fight insurgents only to allow militants to infiltrate? Our growing strategic partnership is focused on serving the common good and eliminating these terror networks for the safety of our nations. The responsibility for protecting the citizens of Pakistan lies with the government and the US fully supports Pakistan in its mission to eliminate homegrown insurgency.
