Marine who urinated on Taliban dead says he’d do it again.

People lying dead are your enemies? by which definition?

they are frustrated bro, what else they can do? rape, bombing on civillians, killing of childrens they trained for that and they do that.

Well he is a p*ssy, what else can you expect?

Same types sh!t their pants when faced with Talibans...and call "air support" in seconds...lol...

To take advantage of any and all available resources such as air support is only logical. To ascribe such appropriate use to a misplaced sense of personal hygiene is quite silly.

I am not in a position to criticize the soldiers, but please remember that next time when some terrorists or mobs hang the burnt body of an American soldier, or **** on the body or do whatever, no one can condemn them for such barbaric activities because there is no moral high ground left for either party.

Do I regret doing it? Hell no!’ Marine who urinated on Taliban dead says he’d do it again.

** FILE ** This image made on Jan. 12, 2012, from an undated video posted on the Internet by a YouTube user self-identified as "semperfiLoneVoice" shows men in U.S. Marine combat gear standing in a semicircle over three bodies. U.S. Defense Secretary Leon E. Panetta branded as "utterly despicable" the video purporting to show four U.S. Marines urinating on the corpses of Taliban fighters. (Associated Press)

A Marine who was fined and demoted for urinating on Taliban corpses in Afghanistan in 2011 says he would do it again.

“I regret maybe any repercussions it might have had on the Marines. But do I regret doing it? Hell no,” Sgt. Joseph Chamblin told WSOC-TV in Charlotte, N.C., adding that he would do it again.

The infamous incident was videotaped and uploaded to YouTube last year, becoming international news and raising fears of retaliation by Afghan troops against their coalition trainers.

“These were the same guys that were killing our family, killing our brothers,” said Sgt. Chamblin, who was on a mission to stop Taliban insurgents from making roadside bombs.

One of his sniper team members, Sgt. Mark Bradley, was killed by a buried bomb days before the incident.

“We’re human,” he said. “Who wouldn’t if you lost your brother or mother? Wouldn’t you want revenge?”

Sgt. Chamblin said he didn’t consider endangering other troops by the act, but considered the psychological effect it would have on the enemy “because if an infidel touches the body, they’re not going to Mecca or paradise.”

“So now these insurgents see what happens when you mess with us,” said Sgt. Chamblin, adding that he is planning to retire in September and is writing a book.

The Marines court-martialed nine troops for the incident. Sgt. Chamblin, a 15-year veteran, pleaded guilty for urinating on the bodies and dereliction of duty and was fined $500 and demoted, WSOC reported.

“Do you want the Marine Corps to be a group of Boy Scout pretty boys or do you want guys that will go out and kill the people trying to take advantage of your country and kill Americans?” he said. “Which do you want? Because you can’t have both.”

In my honest opinion, they shouldn't have done it just for respect for the dead. Enemy or not. But that's just me.

However, in wartime, even the most gentle soul can turn.

Semper Fi.

let me tell you something, these guys are just pieces of **** tbh with you.
i know marines in person tons of them, some were my class fellows during high school and a majority them understand the feelings on both sides, this guy is just an arrogant piece of ****, just read what he thinks lol, he pissed on these guys thinking that muslims believe they will not go to heaven if an infidel touched them, so that there lets you know his mentality he is fundamentalists redneck.

No Sir. The party that wears a uniform and waves a country's flag proudly must always keep its moral ground high.

Unless you believe the Marines are as lowly as the terrorists. I hope not.

why do these so called 'heroes' of US overlook the NATO bombardment that kills innocent kids and children in afghanistan?
the fact is these guys have killed alot more than talibans have killed...
@Topic -- simple words 'this guy deserves slaps'

I am just hoping the marines will not stoop to the level of terrorists. After all, they are meant to fight for the value of humanity, not attack the value of humanity.

Please...A few soldiers urinating on corpses is hardly comparable to using women and children as human shields. People may be offended by the soldiers, but they are wise enough to distinguish out the levels of moral offensiveness and which are more tolerable.

You need to get the f@ck out of the US if you think so little of it's men and women in uniform.

I dare you to take on this 'p*ssy' 1 on 1, he'll whoop your *** three ways to Sunday.

How do you determine that those laborers looking creatures, are actually terrorists... planning attacks beyond there borders?

i believe,They don't even have money to buy a bus ticket to Kabul... how can they pay for US visa fee & air ticket? Still you can control them at visa office... after all you have declared them terrorists.

You just defined a terrorist of worst type. in-human indeed.

Exactly why I said that Marines must have the discipline to keep the flag high at all times.

A few Marines do not speak for the whole Corps, but they did do something dishonorable that was not expected of them. They should have known better than what they did.

when it comes to things like mobs hanging US soldier's burnt body, people in the west are using a different standard of "moral offensiveness" and no longer consider it an isolated incident. same thing happens in this case, only the roles switch.

the offended will always exaggerate and over-generalize individual cases, and the offenders will always try to play down the offense. if you want to keep the high moral ground and eliminate controversies, simple, just don't do things that you have been condemning.
