A prestigious part of the Earth is under their control they would keep it with them.

Why should the custody be taken away from Saudi Government when they are doing a good job? No one else could afford this. The expense in running and building of the Masjid-Al-Haram would make any other country's economy go dry.

And why should Iran be concerned over this, after the senior-most religious person (of Iran) said that they will attack and invade Makkah killing all Saudis/Arabs?
