Apart from that Pak operates other M series 203s... 92+ SH-1s... And local production of Panter Howitzers (Turks are developing a wheeled version of it Aswell)...

As for Turkish Fritna.. It's based on the K-9 but uses TIrish systems.. Making it a we bit better than older K-9s...

If needed Pak can get more A5s.. Or PlZ45s or Turkish guns.

December 28, 2005: Pakistan is buying 115 used 155mm self-propelled howitzers from the United States. Each of the M109A5 vehicles will cost about $480,000. This is less than a third of what a late model vehicle like the M109A5 would cost brand new. This is not the latest version of the M109, that would be the M109A6 (while has lots of computers and better communications.). But the A5 version has the same long range firing capabilities as the A6 (30 kilometers). Pakistan already has 150 older (1970s vintage)

Originally Pak had a2,3,4s which were upgraded locally by HIT from US kits... That's 150+ guns? That totals 350 M109A5s confirmed in service.

Other SPGs include 92 SH-Is,M110s (numbers - I have bi idea off) etc.

Try reading for a change.... Instead of crying.. First it was claiming A5s have a range of 18 km.. Without even reading about the difference between the M182 on A2 etc cannon n M284 cannon on the A5/6... And now this...

wrong you have onli 350-370 american SPGs and there is still yamrican policy or "carrot and stick" live and kicking and you also know that but then national pride and ego are a diffrent ball game altogether ... so good luck with it even withowt SPG's we have enof to blunt any offensive like khemkaran in 1965(battle of asal uttar) and longewalla (1971)... good luck

Who claimed A5 is 18 Km . I claimed the M109 range is 18 Km. .. And first you know the reason why A5/A6 has 25% increased range as you claimed with 22 Km from 18 Km of A3/A4

Thirdly Maximum range means maximum range it can fire by all means. And u claim maximum range of A5 is 30 km and 40 with RAP. But it's totally wrong . Standard range of A5/A6 is 22km and with RAP it's 30km . Not more than that. .

And your purchase of A5 was 115 from US . That's the official claims. And upgrades been done on vintage A2s . So if you have other than this to say. Give source. Not the source of some one's claims who himself not given the source. But I gave all sources.

M777 lightweight has a range of 30 km with ERFB-BB but M109 which is much more heavier and I reckon - older has 40km with the same barrel length?

The number of M110 is quoted to be around 60+ Anyways...

Looks like we we will be firing K9 while having party fun and joking around as Pakistan have to fly all the way to destroy our artillery positions ... Actual size of order is more than the double. Once we get more money in coming years our supply lines will be keep running continously.

M284 has a max range of 30 without BB.. It's effective range is 24.5km... BB extends that..

K-9a Max range is claimed to be 40km .. Effective is quoted 30km.


You also still actually have to sign a deal to actually buy it..

Even if I count only 150 original SPGs (which u personally believe isn't the correct number.. And all of them modified by HIT's M series rebuilt factory) .. 115 2005 deal and the induction of 75 in 2015 (with pics of them in service and at ASC workshops undergoing maintance) that's still 340 M109A5s... 60+ 203mm M110s,92 SH-1s,Panter howitzer production,M series howitzers and Chinese made Ds... Along with production of A-100s,KRL-122 etc!


And you have in service nothing but a few old Bofors n soviet D series 24? Smerches and pinaja mbrls and no SPGs ...

even if we forget the drones, SAT cover and american, israeli and indian WLRs will double owt accuracy with target aquasition and other intel support ... man thats gonna be some long range target practice
