true that but there is a serous issue here with that do you think USA or for that matter any of its allies will share there latest tech with your nation when they know you are now officalli the closest ally of china (dont forget its repuation when it comes to reverse enginear latest tech) which is now trying to become a second pole of power in this unipolar world ... in short :why will US give you its latest tech

as for the topic of this thread well india plans to buy latest variants of 400 -600 towed , 200+ truck mounted ,200+ tracked & 400-500 ultra light wieght arty guns with latest gen of BB, RAP & LG smart ammo and guess what nations USA, France , Israel , Russia , Sweden & Germany all stakes in it in one way or the other .... as for the topic of this thread well india plans to buy latest variants of 400 -600 towed , 200+ truck mounted ,200+ tracked & 400-500 ultra light wieght arty guns with latest gen of BB, RAP & LG smart ammo and guess what nations USA, France , Israel , Russia , Sweden & Germany all stakes in it in one way or the other .... IMAGINE

Well,the number of towed L/52 guns will be definitely much higher than what you quoted,cause the last time I checked,the requirement was for 2000+ such systems.
And I do not think we are gonna import any new BB round,as our systems fare quite favorably with what's available on the international market.But yes,new DPICM rounds with possible RAP augmentation will definitely be procured along with their blueprints for producing them in house.And lastly,there is also a VLAP round with range of 56-60 km when fired from L/52 barrels, currently under development by ARDE.

The total requirement is for 3500-4000 guns,now do the math yourself boss.You do know that there are just too many old and now obsolete 122mm D30 artillery guns and IFGs in IA service,that are in due for replacement.On the other hand,given the number of MGS or mounted systems officially projected to be procured so far, being fairly limited to say the least, if anything,the number of the Towed systems to be procured in the future could be well over 2000!!
