Majority of IEDs are traced to Pakistan

Afghanistan imports imports large quantities of fertilizer from Pakistan and fertilizer is a major ingredient in the manufacture of these IED -- If the same fertilizer was imported from elsewhere, say some country X, then the Headline would read "Majority of IEDs are traced to country X"

The article is simple, effective and malicious.

i wish our media made harsh allegations against the sugar/cooking oil/daal/chawal/etc. hoarders back in 2008......should have said -- "don't send all these good to Afghans.....you are clogging their arteries and promoting obesity"

Afghanistan is a land-locked country......it's okay that NATO combat and non-combat goods make it in unabated but simple daily required items like fertilizer is an issue? Why bring up this "issue" now, we've been exporting fertilizer to Afghanistan for several years now. No new phenomenon.

We also manufacture the cheapest yet reasonably good quality fertilizer in the region; business is business. Best approach is not to blame the provider. Best to blame those who assemble and build the explosive devices and those who provide detonators and other essential components as well. And believe me, they have plenty of those kinds of safehouses in Afghanistan where they can do those things; they don't have to be in Pakistan to do it.
