TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran unveiled a surgeon robot named 'Sina' capable of carrying out surgical operations on patients from remote distances.
"The robot has an advanced performance in the field of remote surgery and corresponds to the American Da Vinci robot," the manager of the project to build Sina robot, Farzam Farahmand, said on Tuesday.

"By this robot, the surgeon makes different moves using a monitor and two surgery arms on that part of the body which should go under surgery and he/she is connected to the patient with a number of cameras," he added.

Noting that Sina remote surgeon robot has been designed and built by Sharif University of Technology and Tehran's Medical Sciences University, Farahmand said that the robot is mostly used for abdominal surgeries and has been tested on sheep.

Iran has in the last few years taken a wide stride in area of science and technology, including robotic sciences.

The development was made after Iranian researchers built a robot for rehabilitation of people suffering stroke which can return hands power to these individuals in four phases.

“We delivered robotic laboratory equipment in the study for industrial and rehabilitation purposes,” said Esmayeel Qareh khani, the lead author of the study, last month.

“We designed a rehabilitation robot for people with brain lesion, which is capable of rehabilitating hands,” he said, adding that the robot helps these people return link between their hands and brain network.

The first phase is diagnosis phase, during which some tracks are shown in the monitor. The patient puts his hand on the robot’s arm and takes its handle to lead the arm towards the tracks.

In the second phase, the patients who lack control on their arms take the robot’s handle to move towards a specific direction. The robot helps the patients and brings back sense to the patient’s hands after several days.

In the next phase, the patient can move the handle without any resistance and move towards the intended place.

Should I copy paste all the photos there?

IS n't better for all of us to add everything new on that Mullah made page in first place?

@Serpentine can you move these photos to that thread or I do it by duplicating it?

Can you make Iranian High Tech Mullah stuff sticky so I and other members can add more?

Great. I did see demo of Da-vinci.. great technology. Dunno about practicality though.
PS: an Indian company is working on this. I am loosely associated with that. But will take years to be full fledged da-vinci though..

@Abii
gholi the gonde gooz, these are the real achievements in robotic and mechatronic. Shame on you.
baba, my little brother was playing with 3D printers in his university out here. My whole point is every other country in the developed world and most of the developing world is doing 1000 times more than you guys, yet they don't have 1% of the "unveilings" and ceremonies you guys have. Japan is on another planet compared to you guys, yet they don't talk 1/100000000000000000th of the amount you lot talk.

Canada is the biggest exporter of uranium and medical isotopes (85% of the world's medical isotopes come from Canada). Canada is even selling heavy water reactors to countries like China (CANDU reactor - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia A country with 30 million people! Then you have the aerospace industry with giants like Bombardier that export jets, aerospace tech and even trains to all over the world. Many great software and bio-medical companies are also Canadian. Do you EVER hear Canada or Canadians screaming about "achievements" and hold retarded ceremonies with a bunch of bald men walking through ribbons with 10 dollar suits?!?????

No you don't. Why? Because when you actually do work, you don't need to prove it. The proof is in the pudding. On the other hand you have countries like Iran and North Korea where the proof is in the "unveiling" ceremonies, where a bunch of kachal men in 10 dollar goshad suits walk and cut a ribbon.

Is is nice... some self-himulated, false flagger here... always saying Iran can never build high tech stuff and mock it....when Iran unveils high tech stuff...they say.... It does not need unveiling...every other developed country do make such stuff and never unveil or announce it!! When a bunch of losers find a computer, this is the result...!!

Even funner is that fact that because they never hear or see their unveiling and announcing news they think it is only Iran who does this.... but I know where is the problem.... BUUUUURN BURN baby...Burning ash baby....

I recall a so called opposition TV show man in one of plastic Oppostion TVs in LA... They guy used to say all sort of mocking and self-himulation and used to prove his claims by saying, if Islamic Republic was successful then why can not build this or that... but since Iran is unveiling a small part of their high tech stuff that they produce, they switch to other stuff to oppose it... let us also take this fact into consideration that most of high tech stuff are built by private companies that has nothing to do with government...

but hey... The self-himulated kid is right.... other industrialized countries never unveil or announce their high tech achievements!!

Tunnel boring machine unveiled for Ulriken project

3 June, 2015

German manufacturer Herrenknecht has unveiled the tunnel boring machine (TBM) that will be used to construct a new rail tunnel between Bergen and Arna in western Norway.

The 1,800t TBM was presented to the Skanska/Strabag joint venture that will construct the new Ulriken tunnel. In August the TBM will be shipped piece by piece from Herrenknecht’s headquarters in Schwanau, Germany and reassembled in Bergen.

The 7.8km tunnel will be constructed beside the existing Ulriken tunnel, which opened in 1964.

An upgrade of the original Ulriken tunnel is scheduled to take place when the new tunnel is opened to rail traffic in 2018. Work is expected to be complete in 2020.

It's like talking to a wall. Those are industry events where companies advertise their products, invite investors, bring in potential buyers, invite journalists etc... They are held by private companies, not the federal government, not the provincial government, not the Canadian armed forces...

The mullahs send in guys when a 10 meter bridge gets opened. Take this robotic arm thing. What was the point of the "unveiling" ceremony? Do we know which company made it? What it's selling for? Which group of investors were invited? What the goal of the unveiling was? None of it. It's just propaganda bull shit. Did they even made that thing themselves or just buy it from the open market?

There is North Korea and Iranian "unveiling" ceremonies and then there is Bombardier and Apple holding press conferences and events to sell their products. I love how delusional you guys are. Posting pictures of Honda, Apple, Bombardier, NASA etc... Each one of those companies can buy the whole country of Iran outright.

All high tech products listed in this thread are made and owned by PRIVATE comanies and no government.... Remember the Plastic TV in LA?? Here we go..!!

4- and millions of other ceremonies and unveilings who get its ribbons cut by governmental guests....

Ignorance is one unlimited pit that while you fall the more you trying to climb the more you fall... Any cures? I know non...!!

Non of the high tech stuff I listed are government-made... they are all either collected from their catalogues of sales or special international or national fairs...

@Serpentine can you prevent this thread to become polluted? It is a board to post Iranian high tech products' photos and not posting trolling and ignorant baseless hate by 2 gheroonis... If it is not going to be clean sheet then I see no point in posting anymore photos... I,m sure you know what I mean... the trolling takes us as far as posting Canadian and Japanese high tech stuff instead of Iranians' please clean up if you would
