West Asia's largest process tower is being built by Arak Machinery Company and for Mehr Petro Petrochemical Company. The tower has a height of more than 132 meters and a diameter of more than 9.5 meters and a weight of more than 1800 tons and will be involved in the hydrogenation process of propane gas and propylene production.

The first CTEP central processing tank of the South Azadegan oil field development project built by Azarab Industries. Among the most important sections in the South Azadegan oil field is the central processing section, where salt water and sediments are separated from the crude oil during a process and the sulfur level is adjusted for export.

Another Iranian industry success story..,,I say this
If it is made of steel they can build it no matter how big..(Prime manufacturer for any Iranian ICBM!!!)

Last week we saw this giant steel making reactor (apparently 5th largest steel anything in one piece!)..and now the petrochemical central processing tank for a Petrochemical facility. Scale is amazing.

Iranian developed Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) X-band Radar
  • Built by a small Iranian startup company due to unavailability (sanctions)
  • 25 Kilowatts x band radar hardware and associated software
  • Hot backup system for Transmitter and Receiver
  • installed in 4 iranian ports
photo are from a typical VTS system.

I call design and development of this project one of the most complicated projects to be undertaken by Iran..I hope they keep updating progress on this. Horizontal drilling is sanctioned for Iran . An Intelligent drilling robot!

  • Sanctioned technology for Iran
  • A 10 million dollars contract is now awarded to an Iranian startup company to develop this sophisticated "Horizontal" drilling robot.
  • only 3 countries (US,UK and China) have this technology
  • Needed when you are drilling into shared fields with your neighbouring countries.

The Sina robotic surgical system, named after the renowned Persian polymath Ibn Sina, represents a significant advancement in medical technology in Iran. This innovative telesurgery system is designed to enhance surgical precision and reduce patient recovery times, marking a notable achievement in the field of robotic surgery.

Overview of the Sina Robotic System

The Sina Flex Robotic Telesurgery Systemallows surgeons to perform complex abdominal, chest, and pelvic surgeries with greater ease and accuracy. Here are some key features of the system:
  • Ergonomic Design: The system is engineered to provide an ergonomic posture for surgeons, reducing fatigue during lengthy procedures. It allows for both sitting and standing positions, catering to the comfort of the surgeon.
  • Remote Surgery Capability: One of the standout features of the Sina system is its ability to perform surgeries remotely via internet connectivity. This capability enables surgeons to operate on patients located in different cities without needing to travel.
  • Advanced Surgical Instruments: The robotic system utilizes flexible instruments that can bend in multiple directions, allowing for intricate movements within the patient's body through minimal incisions. This minimally invasive approach leads to reduced trauma and faster recovery times for patients.
  • Tremor Reduction Technology: The system incorporates technology that detects and compensates for any tremors in the surgeon's hands, ensuring that movements are translated into precise actions by the robotic instruments.
  • Real-Time Feedback: Surgeons receive real-time images of the surgical site through a console, enhancing their ability to make informed decisions during operations.

Historical Significance

The naming of the robot after Ibn Sina(Avicenna) pays homage to one of the most influential figures in Persian history, known for his contributions to medicine, philosophy, and science. Ibn Sina's work laid foundational principles for modern medical practices, making this robotic system a fitting tribute to his legacy.

Impact on Healthcare

The introduction of the Sina robotic system is expected to revolutionize surgical practices in Iran and potentially beyond. By integrating advanced robotics into healthcare, Iran aims to improve surgical outcomes and expand access to specialized medical care. This development aligns with global trends in medical technology, where robotics play an increasingly vital role in enhancing surgical precision and patient safety.

Conclusion

The Sina robotic surgical system exemplifies Iran's commitment to advancing medical technology and improving healthcare outcomes. As it becomes more widely adopted, it has the potential to transform surgical practices not only within Iran but also in other regions facing similar healthcare challenges. By honoring Ibn Sina's legacy through this innovation, Iran is positioning itself as a leader in medical robotics and surgical excellence.
