Made in India AWACS to roll out in February

.
haha the author forgot to mention China for obvious reasons

Article is full of biased when it says DRDO AWACS (which by the way havenot come out yet is better then AWACS operated by Pakistan which obviously are Erieye .oh man an operational system is low scale in term of capability then the one still not rolled out.again a sheer optimism or should i say blind patriotism .poor author:rofl:

No u dum dum he is talking about Phalcon AWACs which are already in service with IAF ,
Ereeye is not an AWACs it is an AEW platform which is also operated by Brazil , turkey and pak

DRDO is also developing an AEW platform not a full blown AWACs , If it was then IAF would not have ordered 2 more Phalcon AWACs ,

The reason why Iaf is going for Indegenous Awacs is becoz our area of operation does not require 10-12 High end AWACs , 5 AWACs suported by 8 AEW will be enough :agree:.

By the way i dont know why the Author did not named chinese Awacs , maybe he too wanted to invite u guys to troll:devil:

. . . .
the radar's dimensions doesn't look much impressive ...smaller range not a 360 degree coverage , i hope the processing power on jet will be good ...

i dont know the status of SARAS but I think SARAS can also hold this radar ...

no the AWACS will have a 360 degree coverage and the plane on which it is going to be is not SARAS and it is Embraer ERJ 145.

.
I am really happy with the performance of this project. This might be the only project which might be delivered on time.

I wonder if you still expect sense out of Indian Media? If so.. you need to make few corrections in you before expecting Indians to make. Be cool buddy.. let them have a Ball

Jointly Built Awacs Sino Pak. ANY PROOF plz.

You mean you paid China to buy their Awacs A BIT LIKE INDIA PAID ISRAEL & RUSSIA $1.1 billon for 3 phalcons AWACS.

Why do people make things up " jointly made AWACS" sino pak

You are right about Saras, but DRDO AWACS will not have 360° radar detection like the A50 Phalcon AWACS. They have radar arrays only to the sides and blind spots to the front and back of the aircraft, but they are meant as an addition to the Phalcons anyway, so that's not a big issue.

WHAT IS THE COST OF EACH PLANE

HOW MANY ARE INDIA INDUCTING

Bangalore: With the question whether the Air Force is still serious about the Rs 1,800-crore indigenous Airborne Early Warning and Control System (AEW&CS) programme settled, India is to sign a deal with the Brazilian aerospace firm Embraer for three EMB 145 intelligence, reconnaissance and surveillance aircraft.

The three aircraft together are expected to cost around $300 million....

The Hindu : National : Brazilian jets to serve as eye in the sky for IAF

More are expected (and logical), but IAF recently stated some doubts because they can't fly at 12 000m altitude.
