"Made in China" vs "Make in India": a Glimpse from Their Auto Industries

In middle east there is large presence of indian trucks, bikes, cars but no body bolstering here in pdf like every day.
The chinese hypernationalism threads goes like this

Chinese flight manufacturer will compete with Air Bus and Boeing
Chinese mobiles are better than Apple and Samsung
Chinese Alibaba much better than Amazon
and the list goes on...

I am waiting for the thread that 'China invented weapon to destroy Sun' if they want..

This shows the level of bolstering and they think that others are just stupid....

You can lecture same to your people rather than me...ok...
We just try to say our company and our products are better, which is nature.. Unlike shameless indians claiming the achievements of foreign companies to their owns...lol..

Not really, I was looking forward to you to post more Made in India auto products.
I am surprised Mahindra is a leading manufacturer of tractors.
From what I gather, Mahindra has a tractor factory in China.
So, those tractors could be of Chinese origin or use Chinese made parts.
Korean tractors and parts as well.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mahindra_Tractors
In addition to building their own tractors, Mahindra also sources tractors from other manufacturers. For the USA market, Mahindra has purchased their core products from Tong Yang Moolsan, one of the top tractor manufacturers in South Korea, to cover selected product ranges.

India just started prioritizing manufacturing and so its normal and understandable that India lags China.
Nothing to be ashamed about, unless its your inferiority complex acting up.

Wait what.
Being better is nature?

What I mean is it is a natural thing to say our own domestic company and their product are great! Everyone does it, Let along we have our bases and proof, a lot of Chinese companies are really really strong, which is a fact. Unlike those indians who are proud of doing some manufacture work for some foreign companies. Got it?

Utter nonsense. No Indian in his right mind would claim that Indian automobiles are anywhere close to American, European, Japanese or Korean manufactured automobiles.

I am curious to know though - these Chinese automobiles, are most engines petrol or diesel and are they locally manufactured?

Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) exports commenced in 2013 while less than three years hence it had crossed the 5000 mark in June 2016. Now, in barely 11 months since that date, exports have crossed the 10,000 mark.

This noteworthy 10,000th export truck is a Mercedes Benz 40 tonne heavy duty tractor built for a customer in Indonesia and was among a lot of 250 trucks that made its way from the Kamarajar Port in Chennai to markets across South East Asia.

What is so special about this?? our own domestic company Yutong is the largest bus maker of the world. It exports its buses to over 120 countries in the world.
http://english.mofcom.gov.cn/article/services/supplydemandofchina/supply/201509/20150901109170.shtml
We also have King Long, and other top bus makers. We exported 142,000 buses and 186,000 trucks all from our aboriginal brands annually. But we just won't boast about doing some manufacture job for some foreign companies. It is not something to be boast of..

Not only do they manufacture their engines and transmissions. Their engines and transmissions are self-developed. You can google BYD, Chery, Great wall, among others about this. This is the reason our cars are so cost effective. Chinese domestic car companies start to use their self developed engines and transmissions since more than 10 years ago.
and the following has a lot of old info..
BYD news in 2011, now this system has been used in their cars for years, and evolved for several generations.

It's hilarious - their complete lack of any grasping power. You see Indian manufactured cars and automobile parts across the world - no one in his right mind would touch a Chinese manufactured automobile with a barge pole.

Indica? Trust a Chinese to compare an Indian car of 1999 vintage to a Chinese car from 2017 to make a point.

Mahindra exports tractors from China back to India. Same like what Ranbaxy did, they use CHina to export drugs to Asean, East Asia cause it's near the source of the API.

Well, there is noting India can compete with China except software services, even then high end AI and control algorithms, I think India is behind, The only way advantage is lingual in nature, aka English.

Since when did Daimler become an Indian company?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deming_Prize

Mumbai: The Farm Equipment Sector of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. is the proud recipient of the prestigious Deming Application Prize for 2003. Regarded as the Nobel Prize in the world of manufacturing, it is given to companies that have established Total Quality Management in their entire business operations ranging from human resources, product development, sales and marketing processes, vendors to its commitment to corporate citizenship. Incidentally, M&M’s FES is the FIRST tractor company in the world to receive the award. Till date, only seven companies outside Japan have received this honour. The award will be presented to the Company at a glittering ceremony in Tokyo next month.
Yah, make fun of CHinese cars, at least we didn't have exploding NANOS and ZERO rated cars with no airbags in 2017.

I see King Long and BYD buses in India....I guess India is no one? I see billions of auto parts exported to India. And I know one particular Indian company using Chinese drives and iron phosphate batteries for their indigenous 'electric' car too.:rofl::rofl::rofl:

China does local manufacturing of foreign brand engines.
Development of Sino Truck's transmission system, 13:37
This CCTV video, talk about the manufacture of the transmission case.
I am very familiar with the manufacture of gears, so I am particularly interested when it stated(17:55) that Sinotruck was the 2nd company after a German company to produce helical gears(called skewed gears in the video).

I doubt that statement is true.
Herman Pfauter of Germany invented the first hobbing machine capable of cutting both spur and helical gears in 1897.
The British Naval Base in Singapore had been making helical gears way before WW2.

Main stream domestic car companies like Geely, Chery, BYD, Great Wall Haval, etc.. They all use their self-developed and manufactured whole range of engines.

Thanks for the clarification.
Anyway the topic is about made in China and make in India. So foreign companies are technically a part of the discussion. It should not be excluded.
