This SPH is certainly not a product of Bangladesh. Please check the thread. It is 'Made in Bangladesh.'

Do we have any other heavy industry other than shipbulding like for eg can we manufacture Industrial scale boilers? We still have to protect our nascent shipbuilding industry which have great potential. We should follow the S.korean Model for industrilisation.

Our cement industry is very large with a production capacity of 2 million tons per year. However, the actual production is around 1.2 million tons. We had only one integrated steel mill in Chittagong, but it is closed now. However, our steel industry is also big with a production capacity around 3.5 million (not sure) ton per year. There are also paper & pulp, ceramics, leather & shoes etc, each of which is quite big.

@ Hi eastwarch ! It is made in Bangladesh. This was the brain child of late General Mustafizur Rahman (CAS). He was a close relative Sk Hasina. Actually he wanted to do something great !!!!

@ So, we had Chinese made T-62 and 105 mm Howitzer(Yogo). He just at once ordered place the artillery gun on top of the tank removing the tarret and in the process he prematuredly killed one Tank unit and one arty unit, what a height !!!!!

@ These Self Propelled Howitzer are now placed in various cantonment as a show off. In the picture you see the BMA cadets are enjoying it !!!!!

Western Marine Shipyard, the country’s leading shipbuilding company, is ready to deliver a catamaran type passenger vessel to the Chittagong Boat Club.

Such type of vessels is the largest in Bangladesh and it costs more than BDT 8 crore. The catamaran type passenger vessel was launched on 8th January 2012.

Catamaran is a fully air-conditioned and double hull passenger ship which comply highest safety measures. It is much upgraded in-terms & luxury compared to other passenger vessels, accommodating conference room, children play ground and quality restaurant.

In 1984 Bangladesh purchased a total of 36 Type 62 tanks from China and at the same time signed a TOT with China under which BOF started producing a further of 144 of these tanks in Bangladesh. BOF has now converted 55 of them into tracked APC and 32 into SPH. So, my friend these tanks, APCs and the SPHs are "Made in Bangladesh".

Yep! Heard it from some businessmen on edge,
it's gonna go rough until july. If it doesn't stabilize after
that , we're in deep sh*t.

I hope for the best though, fingers crossed!
Atleast for all those hard working people.
